Just wondering . . . .
I'm new to Abe's Oddysee and the forums, and I've been enjoying them both a great deal. I noticed that my profile characterizes me as a "Gabbit Tadpole." What the heck is a Gabbit? Is that a creature from one of the other games? What's next on the evolutionary path? Do I become a Gabbit Adult?

A gabbit is Munch (the next hero of the quintology) species....

Welcome to the Forums!
Yes, as you can see, it is possible to be a Gabbit, such as I *runs away from GS*. Gabbits are aquatic creatures such as the one up on the logo. It's nice to see some new people take interest in Oddworld. Just so you know, the other games are Abe's Exoddus (for the PS1) and Munch's Oddysee (coming out Nov. 15 on the mighty XBOX). And as much as most of us are criminally insane, we're glad to have you. As long as you stay away from a certain Dragon who should be flying to this topic soon... (BTW Fuzzles are the fuzzy thing on the logo. Also in Munch's Oddysee. That's my name :) ) |
Hey, welcome to the fourms. As you can see in the previous posts they already pretty much explained it. Anyways just wanted to welcome you and have a great time here.

Thanks for the replies, the welcomes, and the knowledge. This certainly is a fascinating universe. Just when can I expect to encounter a Vykker Doctor? (Yikes!) -- it doesn't seem like something I should be looking forward to. :)

hey, where are you from, with language do you talk?
I'm Xavier, I'm belgian, I speak French and Dutch |
I'm from New England but now live in Pennsylvania in the US. I had enough high school French to be able to read it OK, but I can't speak it very well, which is to say, not at all. I used to speak Spanish passably but I'm pretty rusty.
