Annoucement - OddChat Changes
I noticed that someone was asking what was happening with OddChat, that they couldn't get into it. And I'm sure others have the same enquiry as well.
Well as you may or may not be aware, we have been having problems again with OddChat. The last one was that I was banned from the entire mIRC server where OddChat is hosted. I have no idea why. So we kind of went on a search for a chat room which we could host on our own server, fully administrate ourselves and not have to worry about being de-registered if we didn't visit every week or so. Thanks to Alcar and Pilot, we found one. At the moment I'm trying to work it out, and get it configured to work. So if you click the OddChat link at the moment, it won't work. Hopefully soon you will be able to access our new and improved OddChat. Abe Babe... |

Excuse me Abe Babe,I'm not trying to deny that or be rude but,if you have the search item(Like i do :))Click on it and type oddchat and click on the link and bam!your there!(It might not work somtimes though)

The old OddChat is still around ... it can be found at http://www.oddworld.au.com/oddchat_old if you really want to keep using it. But it will no longer be administrated.
*sigh* Also someone seems to be posting a rumor that the new OddChat will have multiple chat rooms, etc. Firstly this has not even been decided on yet, and secondly I really don't see a need to have multiple chat rooms for something like OddChat which is not a hugely visited chat site. Yes, the features are there to do so, but I find it highly unlikely that we will be using them at this point in time. Abe Babe... |
Well that explains why it said I wasn't allowed onto Oddchat. I can't wait to see the new one. :cool:

I thought as I was on Aol and my dad is the main user he had put me on no chat room access! And I was gonna confront him tonight! Thanx Abe Babe you saved me alot of being shouted at and being sent up to my room *sends online hugs to Abe Babe*!

I merely explained that the old oddchat had multiple private chatrooms for anybody who put in ther name.

Well I never really been in Oddchat because I couldent for some reason get in but I hope this new one will work for me. Oh well. At least we will get a new oddchat thats cool!:)

Okay ... I haven't really said anything on this for a while. We are having a few problems/delays in getting the new room up, so we have reverted back to the old OddChat.
I think at the moment it is registered by Alcar... so if you see him in there as an OddChat moderator, then that is okay. I can't get into it at all... so it's better to have a trusted forum member in control of it rather than someone we don't know. I'll unstick this one for now, and bring it back up when I can tell you more. Abe Babe... |
