Southpark...

Does n e 1 else think that Southpark does hold some good stuff to it. Like at the end, were the 'Realise' stuff...does n e 1 think that thats the only part thats slightly educational? I dont really watch it, but i watched it last nite...and...as luck wud have it Big Gay Al was on and he was thrown out of the Scouts for being homosexual (The horror) so they got a straight masculine guy in to take over his place and the straight masculine peep turned out to be a Pedophile (American) , Paedophile (English). So n e way, the 'moral' was that jus cos sum 1 is gay doesn't mean that they are a paedophile and str8 guyz can b paedo's to. Now...does n e 1 think that was good of them 2 point out that myth that so many homophobes have? Also, they had some other morals in other episodes and i was wondering wot ur views were on them...so...can Southpark be good for kids?

I did watch that very episode last night. I'm not sure if it's eduactional in any way for kids, but you're right Jacob it did have a moral. Some other episodes also had morals and you can alway tell if there's a moral in the episode because Kyle or one the the others (usaully Kyle or stan)would say "I learned something today..." :fuzblink:

i have Kyle and Stan dolls, if you press Stans hand he says "i learned some thing today", "oh my God you killed Kenny!", after he says that he says "lets go watch cartoons", and more. Kyle says "you bastard" and stuff like that, i cant find them right now,
i dont think the show is for kids

I agree with munchman, it's definitley not for kids. But what do I care, I bet you lots of kids watch it anyway no matter what it says.

"I learned somethin today... Halloween isn't about candy, or costums, it's about lovin and carin for each other"
"No, that's Christmas"
"What's Halloween about then?"
"Costums and candy"
"Oh, right"

i dont think its for kids but so wat, kids watch it anyway, my brother watched it wen he was 3

If an episode has morals, they're good ones.
The homosexual/paedophile conception isn't weak in my school. Plenty of people complained to me when they discovered I was doing Child Development (wow, was it really that long ago since the school 'found out'). Hmm, a lot of people there also don't see any difference between homosexuality and bisexuality. They don't even know what homosexuality is.
Damn, what's wrong with the locals? The over 18s don't seem to be any better as the British National Party or the Nation Front (faschist partys) got more votes than the Green Party (not faschist party) in the last local election.

You do live in a shithole, Tom, I have to agree with you... I lived in the Bradford area between the ages of 2 and 15, and it wasn't pleasant...

Oddly enough, although "gay" was used as an insult a lot among my peers (despite my protestations), nobody actually took the piss out of people who were really gay. It's weird that they respected actual homosexuals while still being so insulted by the term... One of our best friends was a Transsexual, for god's sake, and even she didn't get any stick for it...

Fortunately, I now live in York, a rabidly middle-class-liberal area, where nobody cares about each others' sexuality...

If only I lived there...
