Things that Munch was suposed to possess but was scraped!
Other than cranes and snoozers, wasant Munch suppose to opperate security camras? That would of been cool if they kept that in the X-Box version. Oh well! Was there anything else that Munch was going to operate in the game other than security camras, until it was switched?:fuzblink: You know what would be odd for ME. Munch would be abel to control a sligs gun and cause the slig to shoot him self. That would be interesting to see!

I remember hearing something about Munch being able to possess sligs' pants at one point. Don't know if it was just a rumor or not, but it'd still be really cool. Slig doesn't know what's going on as his pants start walking towards the cliff without him telling them to. If they're a particularly bright slig, they could jump out and be pantsless, which would also be cool to reintroduce. Then you could controll the pants on their own, just running around, and other sligs would be really confused. You could even have the pants weigh down switches or something.

Paramiteabe...a Sligs gun is not machinery...think before typing (No offense) He was supposed to be able to possess ATM machines and deposit/withdraw money into different accounts. The creatures would then go bankrupt and supposedly later on in the game you would see them begging in the streets...that better be in ME, that sounded kewl.
|
munch don't posses... he connect.
he allways connect his head. whit that system little independent machinery isn't possible. |
Hi
By definition it's not 'possessing', but on Oddworld it's called possessing. Abe can possess creatures, Munch can possess machinery.
And guns are machines, but their controls are mechanical rather than signal operated. i.e. Snoozers and security orb use electronic signals (presumably) to run commands, while a gun is lever-based. The idea of possessing a Slig's pants was just a creation by various Oddworld Fans to create amusement. Lots of people thought of it independantly, myself included. And I don't recall that Munch would actually possess ATM machines - the magazine article this was actually reported in never mentioned that fact. But who knows? Well, OWI... |
i wudd lik to see munch takin over a security orb in ME, that wudd be cool to possibly scout around plus u'd hav a weapon on it. it wudd also be cool to see 1 of those mine carts abe cudd drive in AE with all mechanical stuff that munch cudd control... i hope they bring back the mine cart
|
:
and what kind of orbs? the ones who simply zap or the ones who kills. |
the ones that can kill, and maybe they cudd have a slig that controls all the security orbs or sumthin
|
I don't think it's the systhem...
he would be alarmed if a security orb explode (AO, AE) and give the alert! |
Yeah! I hope that stuff will atleast be on Munch's Exoddus. THe camera was cool I saw the old gameplay movie of that.
|
wat cudd u do with the video camera?

A scout
Yes, it's a kind of scout device. Like in AE you can possess your farts and have a look about the puzzle you're about to go through, or sometimes story stone give you a little 'sneak preview' thing.

I don't think ME will exist:fuzsad: .There's five games in the Quintology(AO,AE,MO).In Prima's x-box guide on the bad/black quarma page near the back it shows two logo of games called Abe's marching mudokons and Munch's freedom fuzzles(sorry if I spoilt anything).MFF logo on www.oddworld.com:D
|
No, you've got it all muddled up. So far we've only seen two games in the Oddworld Quintology, Abe's Oddysee and Munch's Oddysee. Abe's Exoddus was actually a bonus game which OWI decided to create to keep everyone going until Munch's Oddysee. This extra was so popular, they decided that every installment of the Quintology will have one or more bonus games. That means a Munch's Exoddus and probably more.
The third game will be Squeek's Oddysee, and as far as anyone can tell, Nod's Oddysee will come fourth. Munch's Freedom Fuzzles and Abe's Marching Mudokons are just factions of the Tree Huggers that aim for different targets. Abe's Marching Mudokons are all about freeing their brothers, making nature prosperous once more, and bringing a sense of balance to Mudos. Munch's Freedom Fuzzles are all about stopping cruelty to critters. It's more useless advertising than anything else, but difinitely not games. |
Using ATM things was mentioned in the OWI E3 leaflet which I have got.
But I mean really, that will never be in ME or any game. They literally can't make a world thing. I reckons it will be a platform/action thing just like MO and as long as the story is better thats fine with me! |
Possibly lighting systems, that would make areas darker and you could remain hidden from enemies.
|
Now that's an idea that I like. The concept of 'shadows' was good in the Abe games, I'd like to see it return. Creating your own shadows by dimming the lights or moving a ton of crates in front of a light fitting would be sweet.
|
wow a mgs abe :D
yeah that idea is very nice. and the sneaking can be used more! |
Gah, not crates! If you've ever worked or been inside a factory for more than five minutes, you'd find that crates are the least common object around. They're always dismantled seconds after they've been delivered, or shunted out of the way. Nobody just leaves them lying around.
Every game has either crates, boxes or barrels. Give us bubbling vats of chemicals if you want to show that it's a factory, or provide Munch with the ability to overheat lightglobes to affect light sourcing. |
What if Munch some how modifies his head port to make him here things that nobody else could here? like tap into a conversation of glukkens or Vykkers to see what they have planned for the factory or lab. It could be like a tool to use throughout the game to figure out some puzzels like listening to sounds far ahead like sligs or interns so you could go around them.

I realy want to see industrial secret info...
munch haking in their data base... like on http://www.vykkerslabs.com |
