new language found in Munch!
I was playing Munch today and I found out something that is very interesting. I was in Mogog Moters when I possessed a slig and walked him over to the armored Big Bro slig that is standing in the passage way with bombs and mines. Well I just had the slig stand next to that Armored Big Bro and I did not say anything to it. But the Big Bro started talking to my possessed slig. The thing is that he wasant talking in English. What it sounded like is that the Big Bro was talking in his own native language. Yes you heard it. Native language. It sounded like to me that sligs have a native toung they can speak. It almost sounded Egyption. I tell ya it was odd to see a slig for the first time do that. Try it out I can garentee you will get the same sound from that Big Bro. But dont shoot him or talk to him just walk up next to him and hear him start talking in an odd language. He starts talking in that different dialect and then he goes hehehe. It is very strange. I tried it on anouther Big Bro but they don't do it. Only the Armored one in Mogog Moters. Just try it. It's sounds like a language to me.
It also makes me wounder if there are native Oddworld languages for each race. That would be so cool if they put in an element like that in the next games. You have to translate certain languages and learn other languages. It would be a challenge on the game speak end of the game. Very cool. And doesant the Almighty Raison translate native tounges. I don't know but very interesting.;) :cool: :fuzblink: |
well, i think that its lik the normal sligs... they talk as if theyre havin a conversation, so if ur far away u can hear it... if u listen to sligs close enuff, u can hear stuff lik "There were guts all over the place!" and stuff lik that

The Native Mudokons do something similar. They have conversations with each other; it typically appears to be before Abe talks to them for the first time. Sort of like the adults in the Charlie Brown cartoons but higher pitched.

People its something else it is deffenitly not a conversation. You just walk up to that perticular Big Bro and he like points to you and says something like this ("doll loll foll le loll dolf hehehe yea!")Then he says something else that I cannot quite remember. If you ever seen the mummy and when the mummy is talking. Thats what that Big Bro sounds like. Just don't talk back to it and let him speak. The other sligs yes you can understand when they are haveing a conversation. But for this Big Bro it just sounds like a different language. It's very Alien like too.

I just went back to Magog Motors to listen to him and he does sound different than he does when he's possessed by Abe, but I don't think it's any different than when you overhear the Mudokons when they aren't talking to you... I think it's "background conversation"...

go ahead and send it to alf, but good luck getting a decent reply. Maybe you should leave your email address at the bottom so that they can personally contact you, considering they only answer the questions humorously otherwise. If your address was at the bottom they could send it to you and spare you the joke.

i dont think these are all languages, i just t5hink its background conversation, lik some1 said already. the first time i heard sumthin lik this was behind a wall and i new immediatly wat it was, its not another language

I know its not a languege but it just sounds like one to me. It would be interesting if they put that kind of an element in other games though.

They should, because most natives have a special language. Like native Muds will sometimes wistle. Paramites talk in their own language, and even sligs when they talk some time will make strange radio sounds........

If they did do that it would be quite cool. I hope in ME that the A.I is good. Like creatures talking and stuff and saying about escapees. On MGS2 they do that and talk about their fallen comrades. They better do that in ME...its A.I that makes games!!
