Much Anger About XBox
I paid so much money in PC and Playstation versions of Oddworld games. I've been a fan for years. I am heartbroken that Munch's Oddysey is only available on something created by Microsoft.
I have found no help in these forum posts on whether or not the game will be made available on other platforms. It sucks to know that a company would sell out to Bill Gate's own most evil corporation in the world, and forget about all the fans who got the company where they are today. Next time, think about how many fans you'll lose before you go exclusively with one platform. Geez, at least go with PC. It's gonna be run on an OS most likely created by Microsoft anyhow. So what's it gonna be? Next 2 or 3 Oddworlds on XBox? Well, I hope if you've already sold out, you wind up losing a hell of a lot of money. |

Yes OWI would must have known that some/many fans would drop out cause of the switch, but most of us all here now are mature enough to know that OWI is also a business not a charity. The switch to the Xbox was their choice, its done, stop being angry and buy an Xbox! *blatent advertising* And if you were to use the search button im sure you'd find the answer to your question: Munch's Oddysee will stay on the Xbox, and other Oddworld games in the making/released. Exactly. you seem to over look the fact that they made the switch because of the fact that xbox is the best system out..which equals better game play for *gasp* the fans!

Yeah, geez. Get over it and go fork out for an Xbox. It's an unbelievable machine and you shouldn't bag Microsoft. They work hard on their products to be successful and so do OWI. I too was pissed, got over it and wanted an Xbox anyway. There is no market for PC games anymore. Consoles are sowly taking over.

The fact that the XBOX shares many similarities to a PC makes me think that Oddworld games will be also released to the PC platform, sonner or later. The Intel CPU, the NVIDIA Gforce GPU, the DIrectX 8 API, all of them came from the PC world. IT is even easier to port games from the console to the PC now, very much easier that the Playstation games. So, I guess it's just a matter of time... |
U should be glad that the game is on X-Box because it's allowing the developers at OWI to allow themselves fully expaned on their ideas. That is what the switch was all about. I think X-Box is better suited for Oddworld anyway because it is an alive expierence and Lanning wants a total world simulation in his games and the X-Box can defenitly pull it off. In games like this you have to be flexible because everything is not written in stone. Even before the switch I was getting this feeling that something was going to change and it did. So be flexible and just live with it. And keep an open mind about the other games too.

When Playstation 3 comes out hopefully OWI will switch again, then maybe a few months later XBOX 2 will come out and OWI will switch again, maybe GAMECUBE 2 will be out by then and OWI will switch again. AND as they switch they should release statements about how much they think every other system sucks.....:D oh how about this, OWI only does PC games, and everytime a PC upgrade comes out, they cancel the game to make it better....but the game never comes out cause PC's get better too quickly for them to actually finish the game....that would be cool....:( I have an Xbox, and so far the only game I've kept was Munch's Oddysee :(

You see the little sticker in the bottom of Munch's? It says only for Xbox, which definatley means they are in for life. Whether you like it or not, you should trust Lorne and crew. They have, done the right decision so far, haven't thye. Xbox sucks |

Alright, God damnit. I've been nice for a damn long time. I've gotten tired of hearing "Wha wha I payed for a PS2 before I knew MO would be on it." Grow up, asshole! Stop pissing on Microsoft and go buy an Xbox if you want it that bad! I think there should be a rule against Xbox bashing.

Not all of us have our own income....and if I did I would not spend 300 MORE dollars on a ****ing video game machine. Most others express the same feelings....So it's fine to bash...just cause you're pissed doesn't mean anyone's feelings are gonna change.

Are you STILL upset about the switch? (which did in fact happen many months ago!) It doesn't matter what platform it's on,so long as it is good. P.S: I bought a PS2 for it,and I'm not complaining. Be lucky that OWI can now make games with ease thanks to XBOX goodness. |

I know some guys who bought a PS2 with the hope Munch would be on it, but they didn't let that form the entire basis of their decision. Buying a console should take a lot of consideration. Don't complain that you wasted your money on the PS2, you didn't. It's a fine machine with great games. The XBox is better, but that's another discussion. So cheer up and go play Grand Theft Auto or something.
