One, Two, Middlesboogie is pretty silly.

'Middlesboogie' is part of the title of a Space Raiders song. The full title is 'Middlesboogie (U Gimme Hot Love)'; 'hot love' meaning buggery. 'Middlesboogie' itself is a slang term for a part of Brazil where there are lots of nightclubs.

Leon, you shouldn't judge people by what their taste in music is... You don't share my taste in music hardly at all, and I don't hate you for it... FYI, I don't like Slipknot, and my cousin has forced me to listen through the album, so I am justified in saying that I have heard it and, in my opinion, it is a big bag of wank...

Sorry "Rated" i read it in one of those rolling stone magizines it was on a article on slipknot, and yeah i think talent can be rated or measured to a certain extent.

What? You think you can measure something that is solely based on the opinions of the individual? How could you possibly plan to do that?

I'v said it before and i'll say it again "votes" you think they are not always accurate, but what happens when they are?

I have listened to their first album, as well as iowa. I am ashamed to say that i spent 8 dollars of my money on both of the cd's, as well as a few hours of my time listening to that garbage.
In all fairness, if you can go on about how great they are, other people should be able to do just the opposite and say they're total crap (as long as that's their opinion, and they're not just picking a fight) I am into hardcore music, and these guys are like a joke in the music industry. I know the majority of the other rock bands out there absolutley hate slipknot...you know that when limp bizkit mocks a band, they have reached the ultimate low.

anyway....I always find it amusing when some one defends a band so fiercly, yet the band probably wouldn't do the same for you.
and back to the talent issue.....HA!
I'm in a band, simply for the fact that i can play drums when the drummer is sick, and i can scream/sing fairly well. These guys..all they do is shout and scream, and try to come off as tough guys with theiur pathetic gimmick....lamer than ICP in my opinion.
I'll end this un-tactful rambling session with a great quote-

Ok firstly with that whole limp bizkit thing hates slipknot is not complety true it's just fred durst who hates them, well he actual hates the fans more which means me (damn bastard). Also you said "they" all shout and scream? it's actual corey is the 1 that is vocals and he has an awesome voice, i'm mean think about it the band is a neo metal band you could'nt have micheal jackson singing to such destortion can you other wise it would sound stupid. And ofcoarse the band would'nt defend me they don't even know me but i'm sure if they did they would, but they do defend the fans for turds like fred durst. Anyway did'nt u say once you have been to there concerts, why would you go if you don't like em?

I have also said this before, and will also say it again: Votes are just people's opinions!

Let me give you an example. A poll is taken. The question is: "Are Slipknot good? (Yes/No).

The answer comes through: 60% of people choose yes.

Now, you would probably say that this proves that "Slipknot are good". However, this would not be true, as this is subjective, and cannot be proven. What it would prove is that the majority of people think that Slipknot are good. Now, you can't seem to tell the difference between the statements: "Slipknot are good" and "Most people think Slipknot are good", but if you think about it, the difference is clear.

Think about it.

This is the only way to find out if they are good or not by finding out how many people likeing them, there is no other way we can find that it out, if there was i would do it but there is'nt, So it is good enough for me.

I'm not saying that we need a better way of finding out whether they're good, I'm saying that there IS NO WAY of finding out whether they are good, because "Slipknot are good" (and "Slipknot are bad") is AN OPINION! Opinions cannot be proven one way or another - that is the definition of an opinion! PLEASE understand this, so I can die a happy man...
