I'm horrible with Paint, but it's all I have to work with, so please live with the bad style.

Meep...no can see. You have to upload your pic to a webspace before you can post it on the forums....you can't post it right off your harddrive or floppydrive.

YAY! Another dragon on the boards! *dances*
Anyway, the site I use to post pics on the boards is Picture-It from MSN. The URL's are hugely long and it sometimes pixalates the pics...but it is decent for what I use it for. One sec and I'll find the link... http://communities.msn.com/home Click on the 'My Photo Center' on the lower left. You'll need a passport to use it...but if you have a hotmail email addy you don't have to worry about that. I know there are other free places you can upload stuff too...but some (like angelfire *growls*) don't allow you to post things off site. Hope that helps. (Oh and I agree with Paint...ugh...I hate it. Give me Photoshop!) |
Actually You don't need webspace just upload it as an attachment. When you post go down the bottom where you see "Attach File" then click browse and open the file.

I know...but I don't like having to download something if you are only going to view it once or twice...its kind of a waste of time if you ask me...

Darn! The site messed it up! Really, in the bitmap (which is too big to attach) I appeared larger in the field of white. Oh, well. You can still see it, right?

yes, i saw it. man, im better in paint. im a better drawer there than by hand, try usign alot of straight lines and have them connected, it keeps the shakyness away.

Oh, and thanks for the tip, majic_abe. The shakiness was a failed attempt at fur detail. If anyone wants to redraw it in their own style, you have my full permission. (Please try to draw me on two legs if you do. Thanks.) No originality? Hey, at least my dragon design is not stereotypical (as in scaly). Besides, dragons are cool. I like 'em. |

hm, i can get it pretty good. i can transfer it to paint and just copy, this should be pretty easy. ah, i finaly have a purpose in paint besides drawing robotic turekys and guys with afros...

EDIT:argy, i selected the file from my hard drive in the attachmetn thing, like is that wrong? its a bmp, so it should be allowed, but like help me. i guess this can help in the future to, yay.... |

Edit: The same thing happened with me. The bitmap is too large to attatch. Do you have a Hotmail account? (msn works, too.) |

Okay. Go to photos.msn.com, and, from there it goes two ways.
If you haven't downloaded the Upload tool, you can download it here. If you have, upload the bitmap. It will become a JPEG image. Once the bitmap is there, you'll see a thumbnail. Click on it, and it will show you an enlargement. Right-click on the enlargement, and select "Properties" from the menu. Double-click on the URL to highlight it fully, then press Ctrl and "c" to copy the URL. After that, come back to these forums, click on the Image command, and just press Ctrl and "v" to paste. Then click OK. If this doesn't work, the entire URL might not have been copied. If this happens, repeat the "Copy; Paste" procedure until it works. I hope this helps. |

Okay... don't go to "sign up", go to "sign in". From there, it should be the same as logging on to your e-mail account.

You didn't get the whole url. When you go to highlight it...click and hold, then move the mouse pointer down. Example (hope you don't mind if I use the url to you pic Sylvia).:

Well, I've done a bit of it. Scanner chewed it up and spat it out looking ugly, as usual...
 The blurry smudgy bits in the background are my workings in pencil, that the scanner usually refuses to scan, but decided it was going to, this time. Gr. |

Oh, Teal, that's beautiful! I don't mind the smudges at all, actually. Not being a very good artist, myself, I don't have expectations as high as other people do, since I'm used to my own artwork. (with voice breaking) Teal, that's the best portrait of me I have ever seen. Thank you!
