industrial creatures
I just thought, how the industrail creatures:Glokkuns,Sligs,Vykers was in the past before their industrializm.
I mean how Glukkons survived in nature when they have no legs (actually they have but it's their hands...) or Sligs:i mean, they are defensless & useless without their pants so how could they survive in nature? :fuzconf: |
well, they just did i alwayswandered the same thing.. they couldnt have survived unless they had no actual predators... they should have died!!!!!
|
i dont see what disability vykers have?
|
Sligs aren't defenceless without their pants. The modern ones are, because they never get much chance to exercise their arms for walking on.
And have you seen the length of a Glukkon's arms? Looks to me as though they could outrun just about anything. And they're supposed to have a very powerful kick as well. Because of their 'strait-jackets' and tobacco-induced lung cancer, they can't run very fast now. But I'm sure they used to be able to. And you've seen how far they can jump in-game, even with their wrists bound together. |
so really the dudes could live and survive on their own easily! plus the fact that sligs could use their tails to hang on trees.
|
Yay, tree-sligs. :D Were me and Rach the first proponents of that idea? I reckon they got damn sharp teeth, as well, as OWI said they were originally carnivores, didn't they?
My rambles: Sligs |
i doubt the teeth part, i reckon its a beak
|
Hm... Remember that picture Xavier posted of the maskless soldier? You could see his lower jaw; well, just about, anyway. Wouldn't teeth be eaiser to fit under all the tentacles than a beak? Narf, rambleness. Going off topic again...
|
i doubt sligs are carvies because they cant really catch anything except some kinda voodoo monkey!
|
Sligs on trees?!?
interesting... and i always thought they are some sort of squids that lived in the sea and the mask helps them to breath... |
They could be, that was just us theorising; after all, they don't have fins or webbed fingers or anything else associated with an aquatic creature - just because they bear a (very slim) resemblance to a squid doesn't mean they live in water. OWI said they only wore masks because Management don't like their faces, anyway.

The glukkons used her arms before
I know they haved an alchemist période |
Maybe the glokkuns lived on trees like sligs and never walked on the ground so they didn't need their legs thats why they became so tiny and effete while their hands became strong and long.
|
Erm, nope... can't see Glukkons as being tree-dwelling creatures.
(I'm using a school PC, whee!) |
Besides, the hands look too splayed and the arms too stiff to be able to climb. I don't think they'd be able to grasp very well. Plains dwellers sounds a lot more likely.
|
Glukkons always be inteligeant
I supposed the where in trbes like the Mudokons now |
I know I've probably asked this before, but how do you know that sligs don't have webbed fingers? We don't see them in the game much, so I assume it must have been from a movie or production pic, but which one?
|
I dunno; if you look at some of the pictures, they have their fingers together, so if they had webbing between the fingers surely that would fold inward/outward? Besides, it'd seem a bit odd if they just had webbed fingers and no other aquatic features, like broadening of the tail or stabilising fins on the arms and body. I know they could be amphibious or something, but still. *shrugs*
I'm sure there was a production picture somewhere with a slig with his fingers splayed, but I can't find it now. |
hmm
maybe glukkons used to live in water cos they've got huge legs:fuzblink: and maybe sligs ran around on they're arms and used there mouth to hang from things...

Hm, maybe. Fins tend to be stiff, almost sinewy structures (or similar) and muscles are what usually atrophys away with lack of use, but I guess fins could as well...
|
Found it:
![]() Okay, so you can't see his hands very well. I thought he had his fingers apart. Never mind. |
They still don't seems to be strong inough to be able to climb on trees.
their buddy seems to limp and their got to have muscles in order to climb. Therefore, i still stick the squeeg theory... or maybe they're just snails without a shell... :fuzconf: |
I agree with most of you about the long legs and running of the Glukkons. It seems in the past they were probably just like the Tribal mudukons. As for the sligs...I really have no idea for once. They probably walked on their hands much better than their mechanized youth.
I always have a bunch of theories about Sligs and how they came about, and think that once teh Glukkons found them in their primal state, they were enslaved. I'm not sure what the use of a no legged slug creature is, but the Glukkons found it. As for their enviorment, since they were slugs, I again reinforce the idea of hand walking. |
