Demand women be allowed to play ALL sports co ed with men. I'm not sure if you have heard of it but a WNBA or women's national basketball association exsists along with the male only NBA, NHL NFL and whatever they call the lame soccer association in the U.S. I would think it highly interesting to see who is the best athlete all around. Can the women handle the larger men, or more importantly, can the men handle the women? Ever since that one woman in tennis beat that other guy in tennis this question has been pondered relentlessly through the ages. In my opinion nothing is more amazing or attractive than a relativly smart women who can play sports and be "one of the guys," and women can do anything as good as men if they want to. So, let's make it our goal to intergate both genders in sports in the interest of supporting friendly relationships between the genders and all around the globe

Sorry, but I don't appear to have any influence over the governing bodies of sports...

I'll certainly not be prejudice against anyone if I end up working with them and I won't be prejudice if I'm in any job where I have some power...

All i got to say about sexism is that, Men are the far more stronger and faster gender when it comes to sports.

How would you know? They seperate males and females at most levels in sports.

I don't understand why the boys and girls are seperated in games at my school, there's no point in doing that. If I was a girl I could've had a chance at being able to do hockey this year, much better than football (the real football, not that American variation) in my opinion.

Some sports yeah, but not all sports. It does'nt mean that girls can't handle pain.

I'm not saying girls can't handle pain what i'm saying is girls can't handle as much pain as boys. Face it men can run faster, swin further,Left more weights, when it comes to sports men dominate. I'm not saying girls are bad at sport i'm just saying there not as good.

Well, I don't think either sex is superior, but I really don't think sports will solve the problem.

Surfacing, I think women can stand much more pain than us. We don't have to give birth, do we? I am sure giving birth is more pain than any man can handle... and about sports, I don't know. I'm sure there are many women who are great at sports.

Surfacing, I know a lot of girls that are tenfold better at sports than I am. Half the girls at my school are better than most of the boys. As for the pain thing, I may not be a woman, but try to give birth someday. I garauntee you it's more painfual than anything you've ever experienced.

2. Are women alowed to play the football or rugby that gets on TV? No. You don't know whether women or men are better.
In the olympics women have lighter shotputs and stuff which stops them from directly competing with men.

Why are you guys talking about birth? I'm talking about sports and only sports, Ok look if you get the fittest male in the world and the fittest female, the male will win the race easy, and yes we are the superiror gender when it comes to sports, that's why men fight wars not women.

I know you're talking about sports, but you also said: "girls can't handle as much pain as boys" so we brought up that biologically, females stand more pain. And about you saying that men can win sports much easier, and stronger... well, you can't really prove this and it is incredibly sexist...

Generally, males are physically stronger than females. It makes sense in evolutionary terms, as men would hunt and do more physically demanding jobs than women, who would pick berries, make clothes, etc.

But physical strength isn't the deciding factor on which sex is better at sport.

Yeah sure maby women can handle more pain if you bring in the birth part, but sport is not all about how much pain you can take. Sure there are some girls that could kick my ass in a game of basketball i'm not deneing that, but like i said, generally males are the faster stronger more stamina gender. And stick to sports to go drifting to birth again or pain.

I don't see what it matters that Women might not be as good at certain sports as men... Men aren't as good at certain sports as women... I don't think that really matters.

Quite frankly, I think that sometimes, women fight on the wrong side. Why would they want to play sport anyway? I don't. Sport is evil...

Same with the Army, when it comes down to it. Women used to kick up a big fuss about not being allowed in the army. Now, if I had been a woman back then, I'd have pointed out to my fellow women that being able to go out, fight, get diseases, get shot at, then die is not exactly the kind of "right" you want to fight for...

In America you have to sign-up for the army at some point and if there's a war you have to go and get yourself killed, it's a law or something.

My point is that men are required to do that while women aren't. I wouldn't subscribe to that thing on the basis of the sexual descrimination of the whole thing.

Even with the army letting women enlist, it's not like they are going out in droves. Look at the major wars and you'll see that women are doing the easy shit 99 times out of a hundred. They're dancing for the troops and darning socks. Big deal. And war is hell, it isn't something I would like to do. I wouldn't draft dodge though, but that is irrelevant since there is no draft. When i say go to war i meant go to the battle field with a gun to shoot and kill the enemy, men only do that not the women because they are to weak,and not fit enough and probebly could'nt take the pain, all women can be on the battle field are medics.

Also while we are on the topic i don't think i have ever heard one good women band think about it the greatest bands in the world are by men, i don't see why women try to compete in the first place.

WRONG! Women fly fighter planes, pilot ships (save for submarines...last I heard), drive tanks, etc. They are out in the thick of it right alongside men, not just doing medical or administrative stuff behind the lines. Sure not as many...but they are out there. (for the record...I am not one to hold a gun and shoot someone...keep me as far away from the front lines as possible! Not my thing.)
As for sports...ugh...I hate them. Its all for the sake of money now a days, not for the sake of the game and having fun. It's sad really...a prime example of the greatest of evils....money.

Edit: Oh and how do I know about the women in the military bit? I am in the military bubba, so I know about it. You need to catch up with the times, it is not just a 'mans war' anymore. Women are out there shooting our enemies, fighting terrorists and such. I would back off the 'women are weak' bit if I were you before you get hurt *evil grin*

I like Dido and Kylie, they aren't in girl bands but they're very good solo artists.

Beth Orton (not a band, but she's still great)

PJ Harvey (need I say more?)

Alanis Morissette (a lot of people don't like her, but I do)

Belle and Sebastian (I really wish I hadn't sold the B&S CDs I had...)

Moloko (good stuff, and provides a nice bit of variation in any CD collection...)

Oh wow, i'm in the air cadets aswell you ain't the only one with military experiene, sure the girls march with us and all that (they don't do that very well either) but i'm sure you have heard about the ranks right? Well then how come at my flight only the males have the higher more superior rank huh?? Hmmm let's see cause maby the girls just can't cut it to be a flight sargent or a C.U.O that's why! the highest for a girl i have seen at my flight is a sargent! that's Laughable considering the why you have been talknig about women, i never said anything about women not able to fly planes and all that stuff you mentioned, but in war i have never heard a women been caught by the enemy and Tortured for answers. And the only way a women could probebly hurt you is if she's flying a plane dropping bombs on you or she had a gun, when it comes down to it men dominate the military force, they have been doing it much longer than women, women are just an Accessorie.
