Swimming Slogs!

Swimming Slogs was a great idea since the fleech. I think that is going to add a little challenge for Munch. Mann what are those Vykkers thinking up?

Xavier 11-16-2001 12:51 PM

hmmm no swiming slogs, I think a new creature is better... Slog are not in the water

Lampion 11-16-2001 02:27 PM

ParamiteAbe, have you already seen a swimming slog in MO?

Jotch 11-16-2001 02:49 PM

There are Swimming slogs in MO

Xavier 11-16-2001 02:59 PM

Help help BIG Spoiler

Hmm it could be cool

General Dripik7219 11-16-2001 10:26 PM

THAT IS WEIRD

General Drippik 11-18-2001 04:09 AM

The master guru says that swimming slogs are possible to be, only slogs will have trouble swimming, for they are heave and have an awkward body structure.

Xavier 11-18-2001 07:54 AM

yeah guru, the slogs could be a semi aquatic animal... they have a good morphology to swim

Molluck2000 11-18-2001 08:01 AM

Well thats a first I wasnt expecting something like swimming slogs to appear in MO it kinda sounds a bit awkward slogs and water dont mix well at least thats what i think!! :) ;) :p

Jae 11-18-2001 11:17 AM

swimming slogs?
i really have to see that.

Danny 11-18-2001 03:13 PM

If you look at their general body shape, they look more adapted to swimming than, for example, Munch... Having not played the game, I picture them swimming with their legs behind, wriggling, or else like frogs. Am I right?

SeaRex 11-18-2001 04:25 PM

Swimming slogs?!?  I still think that the Sea Rex should of been added. The Sea Rex is so much more creative than swimming slogs...

Biscuit 11-18-2001 09:39 PM

ive only seen one stage with the swimming slogs (when munchn is escaping from vykkers labs)and since the water is kinda low in that area they're not technically swimming...just kinda wading along in the water...i agree that the sea rex shoulda been added, it was a cool idea.

General Drippik 11-19-2001 02:15 AM

The master guru adds that the slog doesn't have any arms.

Xavier 11-19-2001 02:26 PM

Guru, but it have legs...

COOL PICTURES ANYWAY THERE ARE SWIMMING SLOGS THERE IN THE SWERS WHEN YOU PLAY MUNCH IN VYKKERSLABS

General Drippik 11-19-2001 06:34 PM

Master Guru knows they have legs. But they don't have arms. That means it would be very hard to swim.

Teal 11-20-2001 12:00 PM

The master guru has obviously never watched frogs/whales/fish/other-relatively-armless-aquatic-creatures swim... If they have arms, they use them arms for steering, in most cases.

And I thought running slogs were bad enough... There's no escape...!

*runs round screaming*

Okay, I'm all right now.

Conzumah 11-20-2001 05:21 PM

biscuit was right. they aren't swimming, they're running around in shallow water, but the watter is still shallow enough for mucnh to swim around in it. so as of yet i have not seen any swimming slogs, and i just got to splinterz.

Eibu 11-20-2001 05:27 PM

are you sure about that because I remember reading an info message in the game about how the Vykkers genetically engineered those puppys...?

Conzumah 11-20-2001 05:39 PM

no, i'm not 100% positive about that, but if you notice they never follow you outside of the shallow areas, and it looks very much like they're just running around. and i don't think that OWI would have kept them structuraly the same as the other slogs if they were swimming around. they usually pay a bit more attention to detail than that.

General Drippik 11-21-2001 02:37 AM

You are not reading me properly! I mean that it would be hard for them to swim, not IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!

RoN_Rancor 11-25-2001 01:32 AM

Those slogs were not swimming, they were walking in shallow water. You can tell this because when munch swims to the deeper water, the slogs can't get him. It is like a level that abe can walk in shallow water, while munch swims in it. Also when you zap any of the slogs into the water, they drown.
