Molluck's status

Before the end of AO, was Molluck merely a big cheese, or was he higher than the glock star status? He obviously wasn't wearing the glock star clothing. I think he was higher than a glock star.

he is higher than a glok star because he's da boss.

Xavier 02-02-2002 06:21 PM

his career:
:

As CEO of RuptureFarms 1029 and also CEO ofSoulStorm Brewery 401, Molluck was responsible for operations and product planning. It was his job to keep these Glukkon franchises profitable. He had worked his way up the corporate ladder since his first job as a Flub Fuels Fill Station manager.
so more than big cheese and lesser than glok star
He also got a lot of moolah
:

Expensive cigars, private dirigible, membership to the most expensive social clubs, Molluck had it made

madnessman 02-02-2002 09:19 PM

Why does everybody say Mullok will come back in a futur game. Did Lorne made any anouncement I missed?

But I think it would be realy cool to get him back.

And yea his status his higher than the Glukstar. He is an industrial man: he is the boss. But Lulu was only a rich Glukkon With no power on any buisness.

That's it.

i dotn think OI had created a ranking system then, if you remember like in the movies and stuff all of them had about the same sized sholders, just like different kinds of suits and such. anyways the outfits are exact, they were just made like that. Anyway, he fits nore into like the glockstar and above type status. i mean, he controled huge companies and did crap like that, thats the kind of glock star thing. hes up at that level, just not really part of the system like all the other punks from AO and AE...

Xavier 02-03-2002 06:39 AM

Lorne don't said we will see him again, but he told us a visit to the ruins of RuptureFarms, so maybe we will see moluck alive in the ruins

It does say somewhere on Oddworld.com that Molluck 'envisioned himself rising to the very highest Glukkon status' or something along those lines, and he was 'well on the way to accomplishing this goal' until Abe stopeed him. 'Molluck's superiors' are also mentioned, so I don't think that he is a Glock Star; I think he's the next one down.

(1) yeah I found this on the site
:

He lived for business and dreamed of fulfilling his ultimate goal. He envisioned himself rising to the highest level of Glukkon status.
(2) there is a status above Glock Star: The Glukkon Queen => Margaret (Maggie)

I think Molluck is defenitly higher than Glockstar. I don't think he is even apart of the glukken status. Same goes with his ceos as well. Think about it, he is the Glukken protical son. All of the glukkens want to be just like Molluck. He has to be something greater than the glukken status. And Molluck's superors Phleg, Aslik, Dripik they too are all over the typical glukken status. They run major facilities. It's almost as if Molluck and his ceos are their own government. All the glukkens we saw in Munch did not run such great facilities like Rupture Farms or Saul Storm Brewery. Their facilities were smaller. Yea there is Flub Fuels but thats no where near what Rupture Farms was. To me Rupture Farms, Saul Storm Brewery, Feeco Depot, BoneWorks, and The Slig Barrecks were almost like large indoor cities than just a factory. They seemed vast in size. For a glukken to own something like that means the glukken has to be the number one glukken. Think how much moola Molluck has. He has to have tons more than Glockstar. Think about the presidant of the United States or the Royal family in England. Molluck and is ceos are like Oddworlds royal family to me.

Molluck is the boss of:

General Dripik
Vice President Aslik
Director Phleg
Brewmaster

they are important Glukkons because they have big Factories (like paramitabe said)

Maggie is his boss but there is nobody else above Molluck (but he's not a Glock Star)

Molluck was a Big Cheese, albiet a very powerful one. He's the prodigal son because he's so really fantastic at what he does. Just because he's Maggie's favourite, doesn't mean he's rised the ranks completely. And just because he's not yet perched on the peak of promotions, doesn't mean he's not wealthy enough to purchase his own luxuries. Given a bit more time, he would have scaled the ziggurat and been a Glock Star.

Besides, only Glock Stars have the priviledge of working in Vykkers Labs, and had Molluck had the opportunity, he would have jumped at it.

Xavier 02-03-2002 02:19 PM

we allready know that there is 2 Glock Stars (Tex and Lulu) are there more ?

RoN_Rancor 02-03-2002 04:07 PM

There was at least one more glock star because *small spoiler* you do get one glockstar to "donate" to the Lulu fund.

was it Tex ?

if not, there are 3 Glock Stars, pretty much for the highest status

RoN_Rancor 02-03-2002 04:22 PM

*Warning: Spoilers*

No it wasn't Tex. He had a purple/pink suit and you take all his money, so he couldn't have bid for the gabbiar anyway.

(Given Opinion in His own topic, already.)
See Spoiler Forum Molluck Dead or alive?
Oh well since no one wants to discuss anything in my topic started December 27th I belive I will respond in this topic. Well I think Molluck was higher then a big Cheese, but a little short of a Glock Star. :)

angry slig 02-03-2002 08:55 PM

Considering AO came out first i dont think that the idea of glockstar was even thought of. So mulluck was on the top. But later they added glockstars.

Richard 02-03-2002 11:35 PM

Thanks Angry Slig. I agree with your statement. The Glockstar concept wasn't around until MO, so Molluck's status was obviously high in AO, but no actual term existed for it, meaning he may be Glockstar or Big Cheese, but ultimately, it is irrelevant because he couldn't be classed back then. So fantasise all you want guys, but we can't tell and if Molluck returns, I'm sure OWI will give him a status to fit their storyline. All that aside, Molluck's still my favourite glukkon. He has a suave class.

Xavier 02-04-2002 01:49 PM

Lets say that all the species on oddworld envolve a little bit and they just put in place the hierarchy before the MO story

Al the Vykker 02-04-2002 08:00 PM

Molluck is my fav. and then V.P. Aslik.
Though it siad he plotted and backstabbed his way up to the top of the corporate ladder.

MunchOnThis 02-14-2002 12:19 PM

Mollock is more than a Glockstar,he's da' Big Cheese......:D
Mollock is one cool character, but not as cool as V.P or "Uncle" Aslik.
