HELP!! HOMEWORK! HELP!!
Help! I've got to find out about why Discipline, Road building and Forts made the Roman Army so succesful! I've got a bit on Discipline but thats in! Please help!
Its in for Wednesday!! Yikes.... |
Uh... The roads helped them travel faster and further so that they could mobilize there armies when they needed to. They could easily travel to and from battle fields and bring supplies in from elsewhere.
Forts were strongholds that could withstand a lot of damage, provide cover and protection, and stockpile supplies. I hope that helps. Edit: I don't know this for stuff for sure. However, you sound desperate. [ November 05, 2001: Message edited by: RoN_Rancor ] |
Ah, welcome to "I feel your pain as I am studying the same stupid thing as you." Pain in the rear, ain't it? Well, yes, the roads helped to transport much-needed supplies to the army and made travel a bit easier. Forts were safe-places and made it harder for the enemy to defeat them.
