Xbox Advertising Begins in Australia
I was driving to work this morning and I saw an Xbox ad, like 1 minute away from my house!!!
So I turn around my car and have a look what is on it. It was on a bus stop and is just a black ad with a Xbox logo in the middle. On the bottom it says "Early 2001" and the address of the Australian Xbox website - www.xbox.com.au So it looks like the Xbox advertising campaign has kicked off over here. I'm going to see if I can borrow the digital camera from work and take a photo of it. If so I will post it here! :) Edit: I just checked out the AU Xbox site and it said you can be one of the first persons in Australia to have an Xbox (as you can win one). I saw an advertisement for Xbox on the big television screen at St James station in Sydney. It wasn't much and I didn't have time to stare at it for long.

Last night I saw an Xbox advertisement on TV here. It looked similar to the US Xbox teaser ads that they have on the Xbox.com website.
And today I heard Xbox advertising on the radio. Anyone would think that Xbox is coming out over here (Australia) the way that the advertising is!!! Did the US get an early advertising campaign also, or has the US advertising only just started too? Abe Babe... |
i dont wanna be rude, but there has been like 3 topics already on it. I saw the first teaser ever to air in australia 6 days ago on simpsons on foxtel. Also there are 3 more teasers that are now being played on normal stations as well as foxtel.
Cybernet on fox kids are non stop about the xbox and my train station has a sweet poster of the xbox with the words "REALITY? GET REAL" underneath |
Actually I don't watch much TV at all... I only watch 2 shows a week ... Star Trek and Stargate. Other than that I might see TV if I am in the room and my brother or something is watching it or watch something like the Simpsons occasionally (it's repeats at the moment, so don't have a reason to watch it). That was how I saw the ad yesterday, my parents were watching something and I walked in and it was on.
The topics about the ads were for the American advertising campaign, unless I of course missed something ... as one can often do on a forum. Abe Babe... P.S. What time is Cybernet on Fox Kids now???
