What magazines do you lot get???

We (My father and me, computer users and gamers in our home) read the PCGameplay. It's a belgium PC games magazine. (In Dutch.)

The only magazine I buy regularly is a football magazine called Inside Football.

Official UK PlayStation Magazine Official UK PlayStation 2 Magazine Official UK PlayStation Tips Magazine Official UK Robot Wars Magazine PlayStation World PSM2 Real Robots Internet Advisor Internet Magazine MixMag Ministry The Official UK PS/PS2 mags are the only ones I buy religiously every month (and Real Robots, I suppose, because you have to buy all the issues to get all the parts for the kit). I don't make a big deal of it if I miss an issue of any of the others. I sometimes buy the girlie mags (J17, Sugar, Bliss, etc) if they have a good free gift with them, but on the whole they're too shocking-pink and soppy-girly for my taste. There was once a really good girls' mag called Jump (full of articles that actually related to real life, instead of ooky stuff like horoscopes, snogging tips (yuk!) and make-up articles), but it doesn't seem to be on sale any more. :( I will buy any magazine that has an article about WipEout Fusion in it. |

I get the Official Farscape mag, and Starlog. I used to buy loads of Playstation mags, but I just don't find the time anymore. I also like reading Glamour and New Woman (I know I'm only 15 but, frankly, I don't give a damn :lol ). I used to buy Sugar and all that crap, but I have decided that they are just girlie crap magazines for ditzes who follow the crowd and don't have their own minds, and are obsessed with boys who look like twelve year olds. Sorry about that little rant, but just hate ditzes and "it" people. :mad:

*Puts an arm arond Amiz's shoulders* Fianlly, another 15 year-old girl who feels the same way I do! I used to buy "Seventeen" and "Young and Modern", but all they ever have are stupid fashions that are postively horrible, or some dumb boy band/diva. BLECH!!! Needless to say, I also call them "ditz magazines" and no longer buy them....*shudders in memory*

I don't subscribe to any magazines, but I pick up MAD and Simpsons comics when I can. I also get anything with Oddworld in it, and of course Farscape.

I agree with what Aimz and Black Dragon said. I used to get those mags, but I don't any more. They all think that we're obsessed with boys and make-up, and they're always saying bad things about PlayStation!
Like I said, I do still occasionally buy them, but only if they have a good free gift with them. The mag itself goes straight in the recycling bin. |
I agree with the other females on here ... I hate girlie magazines (and women's magazines for that matter). Like who cares about make-up tips and which celebrity is dating which at the moment!!! Boring!!!
When I was a teenager I never bought any of those... I used to buy some music magazines when they had my favorite bands in them. An English hard rock magazine called Kerrang! was always pretty good. I read the occasional gaming magazine. I also get Premiere, which is a mag about movies, and I read TIME and MAD quite frequently.
Although as a boy, I can't stand those Dolly and Girlfriend magazines. Ugh! hey make my stomach churn. |
