I was wondering how many of you xbox owners have halo-
and if you're as impressed with this game as i am?
i personally don't like shooters, but Halo has kept me coming back for more when i'm taking breaks from Munch, SSX Tricky and Max Payne...and i find myself playing Halo the most since i beat munch with all endings...also, max payne is an excellent game!

I have Halo. I'm not too keen on shooting games but this one is really good. I really started getting in to it when you learn about The Flood. That swamp level has such a creepy feel to it... :eek: However, it doesn't look like anything that couldn't be done on the PS2. (Hmmm... that almost sounds like an insult.) The movie sequences aren't that great, but they get the point across. SSX Tricky is pretty cool too. :D

I didnt really care for the Flood. they were annoying IMO just a waste of perfectly good shotgun shells. and the little pod things pissed me off the most.Still, great game, if you dont have it get it. Btw for those of you rainbowsix vets who enjoyed killing your teammates then going solo... in this game you cant do it (not unless you want a plasma grenade stuck to your ass) the missions are impossible without cover fire and if you kill any Autumn personel on the first lvl Cortana gets every marine on deck to kill you.

I hate those damn Flood bugs... :mad: I've gotten into the habbit of yelling "DIE ASS BUGS!" for no apparent reason.

Yeah, i hate the flood too.
they make the Covenant a sight for sore eyes!
Plus, i like that the covenant had battle tactics (ie, ducking behind rocks, launching ambushes) while the flood see you, and attack.
Those little pod things are very annoying, and i shoot as many as i can, then just let them pop on me as it doesn't really take much shield power away anyhow.
The flood that really suck are the slow fat ones that explode when you shoot em, and release a buttload of pod guys, still damn good game.
oh and BTW i've found the best gun in the whole game is the pulse pistol
it can even bring down a Hunter in 3 well aimed shots.
well i take that back, the sniper rifle is the best, but is too rare.

Man I love Halo I beat it on easy and now I'm almost done with normal. I like how there are four difficulties. The creepiest level was the swamp I knew something was wrong when I saw the stuff coming down from the ceiling. I hated the library though. I alread got the Perfect ending in Munch but I'm working on the Black ending. I also am enjoying Max Payne and Obi wan. Halo and Munch tied as my two favorite games though. :)

speaking of munch. what all do you have to do to get the black quarma? do you have to kill the natives also?

I've got Halo and I love it! I'm on the second level and I just got the Warthog with a gunner. I don't play this game much though because I have Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. Great game though!

To answer your question General Grakkus, to get Black Quarma you have to kill as many Scrubs, Fuzzles, and Natives as you can.

Oh..I didn't realize that you could get Black Quarma by killing them..I thought only by not rescuing them.And anyways,what about the first few levels as Munch,don't you HAVE to actually rescure a few for Spooce to open a Spoocelock?

I've already heard about how hard the Flood is...

I played a couple of minutes on a multiplayer game on a demo station at the Xbox Xperience.

Halo is my favorite game for XBOX, besides Munch's Oddysee, the game just keeps me entertained for hours. The multiplayer is great, even with just two people. Game of the Year!

Yeah,I agree.Munch and Halo have to be the best games for Xbox.Too bad Munch isn't multiplayer..although that WOULD ruin the fun of being a big outcast.Or 1 person as Abe and one as Munch..or something like that.

halo, is cool, really cool. after i beat munch i just went through halo. like halfway through the last level, flood actually arent that hard. if you know how to beat them... but you gotta admit, the level Keyes is awesome..... you go up against that whole covenant strike team and blow the crap outta EVERYTHING!!! vehicles are cool....... graphics are nice. but in the every level after the firstyes you can go solo. just blow them away, but make sure you take out the sniper dudes first, they actually do damage...

i have halo, and i think its the best first person shoter. :D

You must all grovel at my feet... for I have beaten "The Maw" on Legendary! (dum bum dum... big deal) You get a neat bonus ending, too! I'm itchn' to tell everyone about it... but only if you ask. It's a spoiler! (sorta)

What I don't get is how I can beat "The Maw" on Legendary, when I can't beat the second level, "Halo", on Legendary. Those Covenant Elites are so friggn' smart! They send out a Blue Elite, a Red Elite, and 3 grunts for a distraction... then 3 Red Elites and 3 Jackals flank you from a blind side!

i am curious as to what the bonus ending has...
i thought the 'normal and easy endings were kinda lame...well atleast what the master chief says

Well, it's nothing monumental, but:

When you normally see The Flood walking towards the Pillar of Autumn, you see a black marine and an Elite fighting over a rifle...
Elite: "Whoop... err..."
Marine: "Gimme that you mother @#$%er!"
The marine and Elite turn and see the PoA blowing up...
Marine: "Oh shit..."
They turn and look at each other...
Marine: Alright baby, hold me.
They embrace each other as the PoA goes critical. The Elite slowly shifts it's hand downward and grabs the Marine's ass. Eww...

uh, are you saying the elite big bad tuff guy grabs a marines ass? thats not right, not at all. my bro has beat the whole game on legendary, he never told me about that though. and he beat it before on coop on legendary with his friend one time. bow to him, hes good at any FPS... goldeneye, erfect dark, counterstrike, unreal, quake, halo of course, duck hunt. and then theres racing games, hes whoopin in GT2right now, the DOAs, resident evil, any old junk.... i already bow to him....

I love Halo! I have beaten it on both easy and normal. I beat the first two levels on Heroic co-op and stopped playing that difficulty. I went to Legendary and have been able to beat the 1st, 2nd, and last levels. The only other level I have tried on Legendary is the 3rd level. How the heck do you get out of the first room on the Truth and Reconcilitation ship in the 3rd level on legendary?! They just keep coming, and coming, and coming. They slaughter all the marines within about 30 seconds. I have fought and fought and fought but I can never get passed this point. Either I mess up and get killed by one of the several Gold-Swordsman elites, or I just get worn down by all the others, I always lose!

I'll tell ya how Ron! You can't! Becuase it's impossible!!! Try co-op... that's my only advice for the Truth and Reconsilliation. (one of the hardest levels in the game in my opinion...)

And well... I almost beat "Halo" (the level) on Legendary... until I went to a party... co-op... erased progress... no...

i swear, i cant wait to vget halo!! the BOX doesn't come out for a month and im busting like hell to play halo. I ordered munch and halo and i know which game im playing first.... One of my freinds will be staying over for 2 weeks (he's bringing his box and tv) so we can play co-op. But all i need is the damn console!!

Halo is so easy i beat it in legendary in only a day(8 hours)

Whoa... whao... slow down buddy. Yeesh, if it means that much to you, I suppose I can believe. It's just that the sheer amount of enemies in the Legendary would make it seem that it would take way more than 8 hours to beat the entire game. You would pretty much have to run the whole way through and not die once... a difficult feat. I suppose it isn't impossible, just highly unlikely.

And I wasn't quite sure if the Elite grabbed his butt or not. It just looked like it to me. I can admit when I'm wrong.

No hard feelings, but the sheer logistics of your claim are mindblowing. I could believe Easy or Normal at most, if you know exactly what you are doing and not die at all, which I cold see happening.

Please don't think I'm a jackass. I didn't mean to make you flame like that...
