Wip3out

I got Wip3out yesterday!!!
*is happy*

I found this great walkthrough for Wip3out by Anna Ghislaine Williams (whoever that is :D )... http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/file/wipeout_3_b.txt

My only problem is that I can't get the 'power-up start' to work...
:

Power-up start:
At the start of a race, hold down the accelerate button until the controller
starts to rumble. Keep the speed bar held in this position, controller
vibrating, and when "GO!" is yelled, you will get a free speed boost.
I always hold down the accelerate button at the start of a race, but the controller never vibrates.

Any advice?

Do you have an Analog controller? If not its' not supposed to Rumble. If you do then push the Analog button that looks like the SELECT buton. It will glow red if its' on.

Yes, I use a DUELSHOCK.

I believe I sent a reply to your private message, Tom.
The controller does need to be a Dual Shock, but it does not have to be in analogue mode for the power-up start to work (I always race in Digital mode).
At the correct point (depending on craft type and race class), the controller vibrates, but not continuously. If you keep accelerating, it will only vibrate in a short blip. The trick is to hold down and let go of accelerate quickly and repeatedly so that the speed bar stays in the right position for it to vibrate. It takes practice.
