Don't you know that MM is just a sick exhibitionist who acts like an ass to sell music! If anything, he simply makes up scare tactics so people wil take a hard look at what they believe. I wouldn't say that it's rock. His music is more like reborn dadaism.

As a matter of opinion, I hate rap. I always liked punk rock and always will. My top favorite bands are as follows:
Green Day Sum 41 Blink 182 But by far, my least favorite type of music is Pop. Oh God, may it burn in hell. |
The only band I am really into is Metallica.
Other than that I listen to a range of music, mainly rock/heavy metal/alternative, but I don't mind a few techno remixes (well... really only if they are of FF songs). Rock Metal some Hip-Hop/Rap Jazz Pop Classic Blues Alternative Techno Ska/Punk Japanese Pop Japanese Rock some Japanese classical Well it was probably redundant to make that list but I wanted to get my point across, I like just about all music...however I am deeply unfond of Country music (damn my midwestern girlfriend, j/k I Love You Ali!). I know a lot of people (some are my close friends) who are real closed minded about music and automatically and very immaturely dicount any music that isn't they're type. They immediately go "This sucks" or the more articulate "That sucks". In fact I dont' really base my likes on the band or type of music as far as the song. If I like the lyrics, the music or the beat I say I like the song. Well anyhoo to get on topic lately I can't stop listening too...TENACIOUS D!!!!! I know they aren't supposed to be a serious band but the album is awesome and extremely hilarious! Good ole' rock combined with funny lyrics and great sketches. I was bored one night and counted how many times the F-word is said and it came out to about 49...gotta love it! Other than that I mostly listen to a radio station that plays KoRn, that "Everywhere to me chick" and AFI in the same 10 minutes just to give you a sample of that station and my likes. Basically whatever is on the radio or Japanese bands most of you probably never heard of. music is the most important thing in my life. so i don't like to insult other people's music, because i know it feels like a personal attack on your intelligence when someone does it. i think that if everyone who proclaims that, "marilyn manson sucks!" took the time to study his lyrics and all of the things he says in interviews, then they would realize that he is, in fact, a political genious. i'm not going to take the time to explain it here because i feel that the explination would be wasted, but know that he is brilliant, just in a dark way.
anyway, onto my favortie bands. 1. TOOL -no one rocks like they do, and maynard james keenan writes some of the most beautiful and intelligent lyrics in any modern music. 2. Nine Inch Nails -Trent Reznor is a one man musical army. 3. Mr. Bungle -They make just about the hardest music to play since JS Bach worte his fugues. from there my tastes branch off in a thousand directions and i can't really pinpoint one band to be next, but rater 50 or so that all depend on my mood. if you have not hear TOOL's latest album, go download a few songs. the name of the album is "Lateralus". oh, and manson CANNOT perform auto-fellatio. that was a rumor started by idiots that is being carried on by ignorant people. at least try and find out if what you're talking about is true or not. |
