I just thought I'd like to bring this topic back into service, and ask if anyone knows where a person (who may or may not be myself) can purchase Catz 4 in Britain. Does anybody know? Please? It's my birthday, and I spent almost the whole day looking for it so I could buy it with my birthday money. It's been a miserable day.

hummmm well you could try looking in some catalogs and visit big stores like Dixons,Currys,Comet, ect

PC World, Amazon.co.uk, Jungle.com...

I've tried HMV, Woolworths, PC World, Comet, Choices, Electronic Boutique, Game, and I think that's all. One Step Beyond and Budget Computer Games, the places I was most expecting to see them, were shut when I got there. Game reported that they hadn't had the game in stock since last Christmas, and Choices didn't have any PC games in at all.

PC World, however, said that the game was still 'available' from the 'publisher', but that they had run out of stock temporarily, and gave me a phone number to equire with later. Comet came the closest by stocking Babyz, but it wasn't the big chuncky classic case, and therefor didn't come with the microphone. It was just £9.95, though, so I may go back and get it.

I remember trying Jungle and Amazon, can't remember exactly what they said, but I have a foggy recolection that it was out of stock.

Well, varying comments at all corners. I'll try PC World and perhaps revisit Comet. And, of course, try all of your suggestions, which I am thankful for.

Thanks,
The newly fourteen-year-old

Edit: just remembered that I popped into Currys and Powerhouse while I ws at PC World. Powerhouse doesn't stock software, but Currys had Dogz II. Hmm...

I acutally Beta-tested Catz+Dogz 2 & 3. I really liked them, but it got a little boring after a long time. Is Dogz/Catz 4 any good? I don't want to buy it if it is pretty much the same old same old (Petz 2 had multiple Petz, Petz 3 had Petz breeding). I also played Oddballz, which was my first Petz game (I really liked that raygun that turned the Oddballz into different stuff).
PS. I also have a Petz 2 T-shirt 'cause I beta-tested for them.

If you've got Petz 3, there's not realy much new: four or five new playscenes, over a hundred toys all together. The best new feature is voice recognition - you can actually talk to your Petz, give them orders, and with time you can train them to obey. If you buy the proper chunky box rather than just the CD you also geta free microphone, which is very generous. If you own Petz 3, it's not the most amazing game in the world, but it is cheep.

I do not own Petz 3, so I am looking forward to the time I can play.
