Do you have any local gangs?
Well, I live in hicksburg Wisconsin so gangs aren't very pervasive, but teir is a primarily mung gang called the Dragons that does some pot running. Their are also the Goths(Short for Visigoths I believe) That my brother says were chasing him with baseball bats. Are their any gamgs where you live? Just curious.

nah, i live in a good part of town. strangely enough though, the area around highway that shares my last name is a ghetto, slum whatever.... scary. theres grafihtti or however you spell it in sewage underpasses but like i said, i live in a good part of town...

i have the most wide spread gangs around my area, the bloods and the Crypts and supposedly i was made a member not by my choice to the crypts

Melbourne is full of gangs! But for some reason everytime i'm working down a street i see a few gangs and they leave me alone, i really don't know why they don't even try to talk to me it's really weird.

If there are any gangs around here then I haven't noticed them. But I spend all my time in my room.

Yup! WE have alot of gangs and some goths. Rochester is so thuggish and ruggish and you need to be careful at the night time. I mean, in gym you have to lock up eveything because people steal alot. I mean, people steal gym socks for goodness sake! :rolleyes:

 :confused: anyway, we have a LOT of gangs here the Nortanos (sp) Crytps, Bloods, a hmong gang called the dragons as well. we also have a bunch of little punks that try to be gang members but are just a bunch of losers trying to belong to something..heh i remember they tried to jump me once...i socked one in the nose and told them if they ever messed with me again i;d send the devil to steal their souls... they're afraid of ME now, lol. oh there is also a gang Pinky might like...it's a Christian gang that WILL jump you if they know your anything but Christian..i'm agnostic myself, but hey i guess they don't like black hair and clothes..heh damn bible thumpers, they also leave mini bibles and such in your mailbox, and harass you in their cool "christ wagon" (the churches van)..anyway enough babble from me. |

I have christian gangs in my school too, and they don't jump atheist people and stick to their own kind. There nice to everyone. I mean, I'm a goth also! Does that mean that goth's can't be christian?! |

weren't the goths the people who eventually took over rome and most of southern europe? it probably has nothing to do with why they are called goths. and contrariy to popular believe there are no gangs in the mean suberbs of minnesota.(he he)

To clarify the Pot issue: in either March or May [I forget which], Possession of Cannabis ceases to be a Criminal Offense. Supply is still punishable with a Custodial Sentence, but you can smoke as much as you like... |

And then there is the skirge of my days, the ICPs. You know, the guys that share ICP shirts and are always standing in some corner of your High School smoking? Hmm... like Gluk, I haven't really noticed if there are any gangs around here... there probably are, but I haven't noticed any.
People often think that I'm a goth, because of the way I dress, the books and graphic novels I read, and (some, not all of the) music I listen to... but, I really don't think of myself as gothic... |
In a way, there are gangs near me. I live just next to a really rough estate, which has lots of Townie Gangs in it, although I've never met one [neither would I want to]. There are also bands of Goths/Greebos that hang around the streets in town, but they don't cause any trouble for anyone, they just stand around, talking and smoking.

GOTHS: Ok, first of all, in the late Middle Ages, there was a group of Germanic tribes from Eastern Europe called the Visigoths and Ostrogoths. They roamed Europe and invaded the Western part form around 371-568 A.D. Other ones you may have heard of are the Huns, the Lombards, Angles/Saxons, Franks, Vandals (whom you may recognize from the band, as well as the word in the Engilsh laguage)among others. Now, Goths refering to the social group. Goths are a new form of social misfits, characterized by a certain form of dress which is various and not specific, but is almost always in some sorta black. They listen to a form of death metal mucis which itself has been labeled as "goth." they also draw influence from Gothic literature, of which the most famous whould have to be Edgar Allen Poe. There have been many of these groups in society, from beatnicks to hippies, from punkers to surfers. So As for as I know, GOTHS ARE NOT A GANG. Now, as for gangs, I live in Brooklyn, NY, and you might expect there to be gangs here. Well, there are. Of course there are the Bloods and the Crips, who are spread nationwide. There are local gangs here in my neighborhood: the Hellraisers, the Dukes, the UFOs, and the Incas. There other gangs in other parts of Brooklyn, and more in other boroughs. And there is graffiti everywhere, even in the "good" parts of the city. But there are beautiful murals. And as of right now in the US, Cannabis is only legal as a prescribed drug, I think. However, it is illegal any other way. It is still sold, smoked, used. Its almost as common as underaged smoking(cigaretts) and drinking. |

I don't know of any gangs around my area but there is gangs at school (who's school doesn't have gangs.) Well first of all there is a gang that calls themselves populars though they are not really popular all they do is hang around and annoy people that are younger then them of course because they can't pick on people there own age (well not any more :D .) They are usally around the back part of the school smoking and throwing rocks at stuff they are so pathetic boasting about their cool stuff (which are not cool) and their hair and shit like that. They don't pick on me or my friends after I got into a fight with them (I bashed their heads right in untill a teacher restrained me). I don't know why they are called populars.
