Microsoft is trying to think for me again...
You know how in Microsoft Word, there's this annoying little feature that makes them "attempt" to fix your little mistakes? Well, Internet Explorer just did that, and I'm teed...
See, I never remember sites. Only sites that link to the sites. SOOO, to get to forums, I go to Oddworldian.net and click on the link EVERYDAY. Well, IE caught on, and whenever I type in the address, it fowards me here to the forums. Everytime. Now, I want to actually GO to oddworldian.net and look at their site, but no matter what I do, it brings me here. Even when I click on a link, or click on it in favourites, it always brings me to the forums. Is there any way to fix this? Any help will be dearly appreciated! |
iam not sure how to fix this completly but you could click here: http://www.oddworldian.net/
hope you get there, well this is the best i can do!! good luck! [ January 20, 2002: Message edited by: Molluck2000 ] |
its not your computers fault becouse its happening to me too! it just that the site is down! you have to wait till some one fixes it.

Eeek, that's just weird, MudokonOddball... Odd, I usually do the same thing, but a while ago I decided to just add the forums to my favorites, so I never noticed. Now that I do go to Oddworldian.net, the same thing happens to me. Even the URL Molluck2k sent does it... Microsoft is trying to take over our brains.. *shifty eyes, trying to see if Bill Gates is hiding in the shadows*
Edit: Molluck2k replied while i was writing this, so... Well, I guess that's the problem. Let's see if it happens to others, too... [ January 20, 2002: Message edited by: Melvin:squeeking paramite ] |

I can't think why Sydney would remove Oddworldian though... |
Where are all the administrators?

It's not working for me either this is weird.

i made a topic asking if anybody had trouble getting into the oddworldian.net site and ppl told me that the site was down but that doesn't make much sense seeing as the forum is still here

I think the forum itself is on a different server then Syd's site. So the forums wouldn't be affected if Syd's site went down. In fact I am sure of it...as Syd's site has gone down before and the forums where fine.
But then...Pilot said in that other topic that the site was down for good...why I haven't a clue... |
Actually, the forums and Oddworld share the same server.
I've decided to cease work on Oddworldian for a number of reasons. In coming months I'll be really busy with other things, so it will be hard to maintain Oddworldian. Another reason is that Oddworld is losing it's appeal to me. For some reason I'm finding myself less and less interested in it. I never thought I'd hear myself saying that, but often things work out how you'd least expect. I plan to stay at the forums though, as I enjoy them. Plus, I founded them, it would seem strange to flee this lovely place of lovely people. Come to think about it, I rarely post in Oddworld General Discussion anymore. Edit: I made a new topic announcing Oddworldian's departure here. [ January 21, 2002: Message edited by: Sydney ] |
