This is the most potentially retarded question, but I'm having a problem adding a banner to my signature.
In the sig field, I've entered:
{IMG}http://globe90.tripod.com/oddomatic.gif{/IMG}
When I go to this address, the picture displays, yet my sig only shows a broken image. What stupidry am I commiting?

if i remember correctly...Tripod is one of those net hosts that dont let you link your images from their sites. Its the same with geocities and angelfire. So its not how you put in the link, its where your link is coming from. You'll need to find a net service that well let you link images from their sites. MSN Picture-It is one, its the one I use. I would give you the link to the site that lets you sign up but I can't find it at the mo....

Edit: oh and...if I remember correctly...the banner size limit is 400 x 90 pixles. So you might want to adjust that...

Ah, there's the rub.
Thanks for the info. And the rules say it's 400x120 pixels, so I'm within regulation.

In added, you have to put this signs [ ], not this ones { }

I think Oddomatic typed {} instead of [] because otherwise it would have tried to insert an image instead of showing what he typed.

Anyway, the strange thing is that when I checked at work before I left I couldn't see your banner... but at home I can and it's the same address. Odd.
