Microsoft make the Xbox cheap.
I've heard from a friend that in the UK microsoft will lose a £100 everytime one Xbox is sold. Apparentley the actual technology of the Xbox costs around £400 but microsoft are selling them cheaper to compete with PS2 and the gamecube. Is this true?

WHY THE HELL IS EVERYBODY IGNORING THIS??????????

Because they probably think that you're one of those PS2/GameCube 'fanboys' who disses the XBox for no good reason other than that it's not their favourite console. That's not how I think of you, but that's certainly what the topic title implies.
I've heard that it is true; ironically, the worse XBox does, the better off Microsoft will be financially. However, although the Box will lose them money, they'll get it back through sales of games. |
Thanks Middlesboggie, I'll try to change the title. *eternally gratefull* I owe you one, (?????) for some strange reason. Ah well, I'm a strange person! :D
