It's always hard to describe your country in the "amazing" way... as you have lived there all your life and are used to it.

But Australia is a nice place to live... the pace of life is (mostly) reasonable. There is a lot of things to see here if you are ever travelling from overseas too.

I live in a suburb or Melbourne which is a capital city. However, I have travelled to a lot of places in Australia on holidays when I was younger, including the outback.

Abe Babe...

I'm from Australia too. Right now I'm in a suburb of Sydney (no, that's not where my name comes from), near the foot of a mountain range.

Australia is a non-stop carnival riot.

Just kidding. http://www.oddworldian.net/misc/fuzzleblink.gif

I suppose I'm not always reasonable, but I try :) . I think Australia is great, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Well, I live in Melbourne (Australia) as well. When I take time from my busy schedule of stalking Abe Babe, 'studying' for uni and working, yeah - Australia is pretty interesting.

Melbourne's a reasonably cleanish city with a good nightlife, but I don't really have anything to compare it with except for Sydney. Hopefully anybody who hasn't been here will see it once in their lives to make up their own minds about it - it's not at all like the image presented by global media.

I wish I lived in Australia instead of in rainy 'ol Tacoma.

I'd love to visit Australia someday. I've always thought it sounded cool.

"Fosters : Australian for bear". lol

I think the Australian accent sounds really cool. I wish I had it! :)

Osiris The Fleech 04-17-2001 07:33 PM

Outback Steakhouse. No rules, just right.

I wish I had an Australian accent. "G'day, mate!" instead of "hi".

Pacen 04-17-2001 08:51 PM

Where is Tacoma?

You're right, the Aussie accent is cool.

And just so you know, not many of us actually say "G'Day mate".

ODDBODD 04-18-2001 08:18 AM

"g'day mate" is ancient history.
Now the greetings are

"hey you!!!"
"get off my garden"
"STUPID KID"
"GRRRR"
*just goes straight to the cat fights*

Well a;lot of the down under is sweeet ive been to MELBOURNE, BRISBANE, ADILADE, COOBER PEDY, ALICE SPRINGS, DARWIN, ULURU (though i got too hot and climbed back down, GREAT BARRIER REEF well everywhere except for WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
