Oddities

Hi. Yes, this is a "get to know you more" topic. Post things that are odd about you (Not your alter ego, you, yourself) I'll list two (they don't have to be Oddworld-related, but these are).

1: When I say, "Oops", sometimes my voice goes to Mudokon.

2:If I say, "Stop it!" for a reason more than once, my voice goes to Mudokon.

Post whatever you like. (They have to be true, though) :)

i have a weird tendency to start talking in a Dorset accent for no apparrent reason [even though i have lived all my life in Yorkshire...]. i think i must have got it off Adam, he sometimes starts speaking Dorsetian for no reason [despite the fact that he also lived all his life in Yorkshire...]

i am double-jointed in the fingers.

Gluk Schmuck 09-29-2001 04:49 PM

i use my feet to do thing like opening (low) cupboards and picking things up, kinda how i imagine a very low ranking Glukkon would do stuff...however, i don't actually stand on my hands...

Silversnow 09-29-2001 10:41 PM

Well, my voice also goes to mudokon sometimes when I say oops, but that is not often. One of my friends and my mother tells me I walk like a mud. (P.S My friend is not into Oddworld, she kinda hates it, but hey, she tried the game so don't blame her D.S) Oh, and I think Abe's cute :D :D :D :D

When I'm home and I cross my brother I often say: 'HEY!'

then he says: 'What!'

And then it's me again: 'Do it'

And then we both laugh the glukkon and slig way! Very funny.

One, Two, Middlesboogie 09-30-2001 09:57 AM

My mother and I both say 'nyabab!' (like the Flowerpot Men) instead of 'goodbye'. My mother also says 'ok' like a Mud. She can do the voice much better than I can. My brother and I say 'hey' and 'do it' like Glukkons, which is funny.
Everyone in my family, when we see someone falling into some water, says "'e's fallen in tha water!" like they used to do on The Goonshow! (British radio comedy with Spike Milligan)

I can move my eyes independently like a chameleon! Well, not quite as independently as that, but I can make one eye go round and round really fast and the other one go round and round slowly, at the same time!
I can also open my jaws to 90%, and imitate hyaena noises.

I also pretend to be a chicken whenever I can. When I'm the goalkeeper in netball (girlie English version of basketball), I make noises like a chicken to distract the Goal Shooter and stop her from scoring.

I also skip instead of walk whenever I can, and I go barefoot as often as possible (I'm not a hippy; I just like the feel of concrete or grass underfoot). My friends tell me that I laugh like Ursula the Sea-Witch (from the Little Mermaid)!

A couple years ago I could yell really loud at a certain pitch and my computer screen would vibrate (not the actual monitor, but the display on the screen). I haven't been able to do it for a while tho...

Gluk Schmuck 09-30-2001 11:52 AM

wow, you freaks!

One, Two, Middlesboogie 09-30-2001 11:58 AM

Wow, FuzzyFuzzle, that sounds really cool! I wish I could do that!

I used to be able to make a noise like a fart with my nose, but I can't do it any more. I can't whistle any more either, which is weird; I used to be able to.

your all weird the only thing i do is say things from the videos from abe's exoddus when i am talking to my friends

*raises eyebrow*

Um, well... That's one thing I can do! *points up* I can do the whole Spock-esque-one-eyebrow-lifty thing; not for any Trek-related reasons, either, I just can.

*thinks* Hm... I have a vast array of odd sounds, as well...

*scratches head* I tend to buy things with stuff wrong with them, as well - well, not so much "wrong" as a bit eccentric. For instance, my inverse diary. ;) (I found one in the shop that they'd stuck the cover onto upside down, so I bought that one.)

Um... and that's about it.I think. If I find anything else I'll let you know. Maybe.

Or not.

Hmmm. . . Weird things about me.
Well, I can go crosseyed, I have a habit of doing or saying strange stuff, my laugh sounds stupid (or at least I think so), sometimes when I am daydreaming I subconciously follow my friends around like a lost puppy, I carry a stick around with me all the damn time, I listen to midi music, my sleeping pattern is all messed up (I go to bed normally between 7:00am and 9:00am and wake up at about 3:00pm to 5:30pm GMT), I sometimes talk to fast, and. . . uh. . . yeah, I think that about tops it up.

Edit: Oh yeah, I also say "Oops" like a mud. :) Another one of my catch phrases is "Somethin' smells". I shouldn't need to tell you where I got that quote from, since all you die-hard Oddworld fans should know. . . :)

Yeah I say "Oops" like a mud My brother has said I run like abe and My left thumb is double jointed from playin my playstation to long i can go cross eyed (whitch most people can do)

super_slig 10-03-2001 07:50 PM

Here's more.

In gym class, we held a far jump contest. I jumped like Abe... and won!

Isn't that weird?

Liking games so much at my age is considered a little odd to some people, as most adults I know aren't into them.

I say some words like Abe does ... like "heh-llo" and "okay". Even my mum says it sometimes too.

I call our dog a Slog or Sloggie when I am calling her (she doesn't look like one though, she is pretty cute).

I always relate stuff to things I am into ... like if something sounds like something Oddworld or FF or something. Or if I am watching a quiz show that has multiple answers and I don't know the answer, I'll guess the one that sounds nearest to something I am into (if there is one).

Like DH, I listen to video game music (FF music, but MP3). I guess that isn't weird if you are a RPG fan cause it's considered one of the best and heaps of FF fans listen to it. But I listen to it more than say rock music! Even at work, and people don't know what I am listening too!!!

Other than that, I'm just fanatical about stuff I am into! :D
