Is it just the Oddworld background she doesn't like? If so, you can turn that off, there is info on how to do it in the Freqently Asked Questions.

I don't want to use the Oddworld toolbar background at all (or my parents complained about it), how do I remove it?
Just go into Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced. Scroll down until you see "Enable Image Toolbar". Untick this, click OK and restart your computer. You can then use the Oddworld Browser without the background.
If you must get rid of it completely, you need to uninstall Internet Explorer 6. Just go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. Highlight Internet Explorer 6 from the list and click the Add/Remove button.

I have restarted my computer 12 times (really! I counted!) and it still won't go away...and last time I uninstalled internet explorer, i couldn't get it back...oh well...i guess i'll just try to uninstall it...
