Xbox trouble
Okay, around December I had Xbox trouble, at first I thought it was the Oddworld game, then I thought Naaaa, if it isn't scrached I wouldn't have any trouble. So I took the game in just incase but found out that it was the Xbox. and I was pissed. in the middle of Mo where Munch leads all the scrabs into the cages is where it always froze, really it froze at the loading part and then stops. so I had to get another xbox and the new one works now, thank Odd. so if you have this problem just replace the Xbox. What I think Is that they're going to make a better Xbox then the old one. I hurd that they're going to make another ps2 of some sort. If you have any information about this tell me about the Xbox and the ps3, if there will be one. undefined |

anyways, all majour consoles have some bugs in them in the first batch they let out to the public. In PS2's case, there was a bug in the CD tray (back me up if you've heard about this) and in some occasions, it wouldn't let go of the game inside. But they fixed it now, and there is now no such thing as a free DVD player, because in the second batch of PS2's, it is required to buy a remote to play DVD's (rip off...). Anyways, I have heard of freezing in the Xbox before, and it's not that big a deal. There's also a bug in controllers about the Left trigger acting up or something or other...anyways, keep your temper at bay, and just trade it in. That's the reason I never buy my systems at launch :) |

Anyway, the PS2 had a teribble problem that let early Japanese consumers play DVDs from any region on the console! It also had a few other problems including bad quality CD trays. |

I heard that the Xbox keaps overheating if you play it too much, Is this true?

I think that is true, my sister told me that the Xbox needs a fan and needs to be smaller. my sister hate the Xbox because it's Microsoft. which I tell her... " Then Don't Buy It!"

ok, im sick of people dissing x box. just because it was microsoft that made it people say it craches or itll always freeze or the games suck. i mean thats the stuff that was said when playstation came out, o grand ole electronics company sony made a system but they dont make systems so itll suck. really ive had my x box on for about 8 hours staight one time, muliple in fact and it has never messed up. i love it. people just need time to see how it actually is, i mean its is POWERFUL!!! anyways, people complain about the size. yah,its bigger than most things. of course those most systems dont have a 10 gig hard drive...... but yes give x box a little time everything is gonna be worked out. all im really saying is mine works great. no button problems or lock ups. anyone who doesnt have one i strongly suggest buying one, cause they rock real bad. not to mention the dvd player is a really really good one, no offense anyone but its better than ps2s. :p :p :p

I have xbox and it works great, but when a movie starts in oddworld it freezes up a little, it still move but slower just for a moment. Especially in two movies. Does that happen to anyone else?

nope, my x box is great and dont have any problems........ o i cant wait till there gets to be more games and i can mock my friends who all say it suckx just cause its microsoft......... but really ive never had any actual cd reading problems, but in halo after you punch out keye's brains and your stuck with like 20 guys at once it slowed down a little for a second or two....... not like other games for ps2 dont slow down, and jeez dont you just hate jealoous people that wasted their money on ps2 and cant save up again k :o j/k

Well I dont say much, but read here but i shall say a lil more. but i have had no trouble with my xbox at all. no slowing down or nothing. and i do unfortunately leave it on for more then 8 hours sometimes to but i have had no problens overheating or nothing. and i have had mine since the last 2 weeks of november. i also have a PS2 and a DC. and i like the Xbox betta then the PS2 but i still love my DC. i have had from overheating to the tray sticking or the CD not coming out with my PS2. so i will alway stand by my Xbox.

Ok, good, so i'm not just spewin' out crap (like usual :rolleyes: )
Anyways, SeaRex, I was at the SSX Trick Forums on GameFAQS.com and that's where i saw the thing about the sticking! Luckily, i own ssx meself, and i suck anyways, sooo... Anyways, I don't think that anyone has been dissing the Xbox directly. There have been problems with the cooling system, but they fixed that after the new wave of about a WEEK after the launch, so if it does overheat (from say, LEAVING IT ON ALL NIGHT!), then just get out the warranty and trade it in. Also (ok, my turn to "bitch and moan"), there was and still is some controversy between how Microsoft has completely dominated the whole computer world, and now they are moving on to video games. Which is exactly what they ARE doing. People can be mad if they want, and they have good reason to, but sometimes you just gotta sit and think, and stop being so pessimistic about the whole situation. There ya go. |
Ah but if one company dominates a market...there is no compintation(sp) and therefore the company can charge whatever they freaking what for their items. That's the case with the phone company here where I live. There is no other basic service provider other then Qwest...and as a result...the rates are ridiculious....
That's why peeps are bitching and moaning over MS'es dominance over the computer market... |

What's the big deal? About 200 peoples systems "freeze". Probly what happened is a bunch of dipshits broke their console and expect Microsoft to fix all their probs. PSX had bugs and overheating problems, but nothing bad ever happened to mine. And what about scratched disks from setting a PS2 horizontally and PS2's DVD discrepencies, oddly all of that has been swept under the rug(by fanboys pehaps)
