Favourite Console + game for said console?
What is your favourite Console and your favourite game for said console?
For me it would be the PS1 and Spyro 1 |
mine are boring. i'd choose the PS1 and either abe's oddysee, medievil or doom, i can't make up my mind. sheerly for the nostalgia value. i'd like to say Amiga 1200 but that wasn't a console. still my favourite above all though.

That's fair

yeah honestly, i feel like my answer's pretty boring too. i'd probably choose either ps1 or xbox maybe? it's hard to choose a favorite console. and for each of those respectively, probably either abe's exoddus and halo 1 (though for ps1 i think resident evil 2 is definitely a runner up).

Almost certainly the original Xbox. As for the game, I'd be hard-pressed to choose between a few key favorites like Stranger's Wrath, Sands of Time or Fuzion Frenzy. But if it was only myself that was playing, I think I'd go for Stranger's Wrath, with Sands of Time a close second. If I have three friends, Fuzion Frenzy.

I used to play Sands of Time at my friend's place, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I forgot about it actually, I'd like to play it again, but not sure if/when I'll have the time. |
Switch
Dark Souls Remastered |

I dunno, it's not out yet, but I do know that if it's remotely close to the other releases it will be the best combination I can think of. Even just being able to play Skyrim anywhere has put the Switch up there to number one for me, not that I think Skyrim is a particularly great game.
As for DS Remastered outside of the Switch (which has been out for a few months), it's worth it if you don't have DS on PC or if you have the original on consoles. In the original the framerate was capped at 30 but wouldn't even reach that most of the time, and in some areas it was a complete shitshow. These issues are solved in the new release. If you do have it on PC then DSFix makes remastered pretty much redundant, unless you desperately want bonfires to look like real fire (instead of being stylized and awesome). |
I actually never used DSFix and just played the original PC port as it was. DS on Switch sounds pretty neat but it feels like the type of game where I'd get nowhere if I wasn't playing it somewhere quiet and private. I also suck however
