Does this site actually work? When I press "Write Congress" nothing happens and I'm not making a call to someone in america.

I'm not sure. I haven't used it since I'm Canadian.

These Glukkon bastichs (Seriously, the American Republicans ARE essentially Glukkons at this point) are ruining everything good in the world...

Blame Ajit Pai. He's the one lying and not listening to the American citizens. Net Neutrality has been around since the Internet's early days (albeit not well-defined), and he's ruining it so that his evil overlords at Verizon can profit from it. Let's just hope that the bill to save Net Neutrality comes through.

Now this shit's happening in Canada too!! WTF!?! WHY ARE PEOPLE SUDDENLY OBSESSED WITH KILLING THE INTERNET!!! :fuzmad::fuzmad::fuzmad:

Good news is that Trudeau wants Net Neutrality, so it's unlikely that Bell and its evil allies will succeed.

Phoetux 12-19-2017 02:53 PM

From what I know Canada is pretty obsessed with doing the same stupid shit US does, or at least thats what people from there told me. So in this case Canada was already in allert.
Some people think net neutrality is gonna be killed in Europe too which is unlikely imo.
Welp I send best luck to Canadians, I don't think NN is gonna die there anyway.

I would HOPE not! I'M Canadian! That would a nightmare scenario for me if Net Neutrality was killed.

In other news, Pai's been doxed. I'm not surprised; when more than 75% of your country is against what you're trying to implement, expect s*** like this to happen if you piss off almost the whole damn country.

Net neutrality is what allows everyone to use the internet without companies throttling competitors sites making them borderline unusable.
That's the very basics of it, the only people that want the internet without this are big companies that can use the death of Net Neutrality to ruin other sites.
If you as a person are against Net Neutrality you're basically saying you're perfectly fine with your access to the internet being limited cause companies threw some money around.

Auriel 12-20-2017 06:52 AM

While I'm totally for net neutrality (obviously) I don't see why it's being made out to be a borderline SOPA-level issue every time the topic comes up. I don't recall the Internet being all that bad of a place in 2014 prior to the FCC ruling in favor of net neutrality to begin with.

It wouldn't be that much of an issue but no one trusts big companies as it's super easy to take advantage of this and screw over smaller websites so they get a very unfair advantage which doesn't benefit us as users in literally anyway.
