There's binary in his eyes, let's get cracking

Vanilla ✜ 05-02-2017 11:11 AM

Lots'a Binary in this one boys. :D

JtCorscadden 05-02-2017 11:40 AM

is this easier to read for anyone?

Phoetux 05-02-2017 12:05 PM

Just to make it clear: I couldn't decypher the codes on the left of the image -
:

11110113P
:

011011BN
- because they means nothing in binary to me. Maybe they're not binary codes but just codes to use in the future for an asset site?

is this easier to read for anyone?

Kinda, the start of the codes are not very clear due to the light.

Syphyous 05-02-2017 12:10 PM

(Said this in the other thread too)

Ok, so far I have this from the black line binary going vertically up.

"nger. We'll rise. Spread the word."

I can't see anything before that, it doesn't look like enough for another letter. (Only three digits.)

Gunnr 05-02-2017 12:24 PM

^Nice job!

What sort of machine is he working?

AvengingGibbons 05-02-2017 12:26 PM

I'm thinking it's a minecar ;)

I'm thinking it's a minecar ;)

Oh thats right, the minecart Abe rode had two levers to move it back in AE!

So it seems those masks ARE for the mine worker muds protection then. Although they are may still be difficult to breath with

PrincessJessikins 05-02-2017 01:59 PM

I wonder what the things in the background are? I thought they looked like medical bags at first but maybe some kind of signage or Oddworld traffic light!

Gunnr 05-02-2017 04:53 PM

I also noticed a bottle ring stain in thr upper left corner(like the ones found on the flyers) though I'm not sure if that's important.
Sheesh who ever is collecting these photos for us needs to stop drinking brew on the job! Lmao :p

-Do you think maybe an image or more writing is hidden somewhere in that spot?

- And what could those IV bags be for in the background?

Xavier 05-02-2017 04:54 PM

Looks like this Mudokon is doing some kind of endurance test on an elliptical machine :p

I wonder where he is. This doesn't look like the interior of a Vykkers Lab anymore.

tmakz 05-02-2017 08:45 PM

Wooooo image 4 done and for once this image isnt dark!!! Im definitely getting a necrum mines feel from the background ahh that mine music so good *plays music from necrum mines

STM 05-02-2017 10:13 PM

At first I thought it was a minecar too but there are medical bags to the right of the image. He's also looking at some sort of screen...weeeeird.

Phoetux 05-02-2017 11:14 PM

It could be a minecar but it looks too much big to be one, however like someone else said on Discord the design of it could has changed and that could be possible.

I also noticed the code in the eyes are mirrored, here's a better image of them flipped:

http://i.imgur.com/tQjc45M.jpg

Me and others thought its not binary but an identification code we already saw in the first image.

Edit: Once I have time I'll try to make the codes clearer.
Edit 2: Tried my best -

Vanilla ✜ 05-03-2017 12:02 AM

So apparently most of it's been worked out in the discord, currently waiting on a mod to come online and pin the messages.

Edit; There's a small line of binary and letters on the bottom right that looks like an "employee" number so I checked and the more clear one is the code for the mud in the chamber we saw.

Am I the only one who see different but similiar codes? The one on the mud's chest is "011Q11BI" and the other one found in this image is "011011BN".

Also, this is what I can read from the eyes codes (the letters/numbers that I'm not sure if they're right or I can't simple recognize will be wraped with the spoilers tags):
:

On the right eye
10011BMN
10010001
0110R0M
On the left eye
10011BMN
100000B/M
011011RM
Maybe they're both the same, or maybe not.

Scrabaniac 05-03-2017 03:56 PM

Is that a bunch of IV drip bags in the background? It makes me think that this mudokon is being forced to control tests on a fellow slave.. if so, it would definitely work well with the range of emotions mudokons had in exoddus like Anger towards eachother.

Nate 05-04-2017 05:43 AM

My first thought was that it was IV bags, but look at the rounded shape of the screen that the mud is looking at, and the shape of the pipes holding it up; it might be another set of screens. IV bag looks more probably, though

Exciting times.

These purple tease images don't feel related to Soulstorm to me, could it just be for the Abe plush thing or something else? One can dream there's going to be a Soulstorm reveal though, I imagine they'll want to save such things for E3 though

Exciting times.

That was related to the plushies.
Does someone know how to continue? This ARG just got stuck and forgotten by everyone...

tmakz 05-11-2017 01:17 PM

Has anyone solved the code yet?

HansuOddie 05-20-2017 04:54 PM

One thing that bothers me about the gas mask, is that there's no protection for the eyes. I google searched for gas masks and all the pictures that I saw, had protection for the eyes as well. Even the earliest designs for the gas mask were made to protect the eyes.

So then I thought; what if it's not a gas mask?

Infact, it looks more like an altitude mask, which is used by athletes as altitude training. Basically, it's meant to help you cope in higher altitudes and where there isn't much air (the mudokon complains that they can't breathe). So maybe they're training the mudokons to work in places where's there isn't much air, OR they are using the mask as some sort of punishment or work method like; "You want that mask off? Then work harder!"

THO there are somethings wrong with this theory:
1. In the picture, you can see something resembling gas being sucked into the mask
2. The company doesn't care about the wellbeing of mudokons, so why have protection for the eyes?

I dunno, this probably didn't help at all :/

Mines can have toxic gas in them, it's why in the past miners would take canaries down mineshafts. If the canary died then it indicated the presence of toxic gas.. More to my point, the mines may have a toxic gas which drives the mudokons crazy. Maybe this mudokon is being trained to endure the toxicity of the gas so he can work better. And some of the mudokons won't cope well with it, so they become 'wired'. This might be a better way of giving us the 'wired mudokons' instead of making it seem like theyre being gassed with laughing gas like was my assumption when playing exoddus. Maybe the mask is a filter that the vykers are testing to see if the mask filters out the gas. Maybe we'll see a lot of miners using these masks, and possibly wear them when we play as Abe. Maybe we'll have to collect a mask from somewhere in order to access areas that are filled with gas and wired mudokons.

Vanilla ✜ 05-23-2017 01:49 AM

Considering they're deep in Necrum mines it would also be super difficult to breath at all cause anything that rots requires oxygen and the mines is lined with decaying bodies which must be awesome working conditions.

Varstahl 05-26-2017 05:17 AM

Dang it! My cpu heat sink failed in the most glorious way at the worst possible time, lost all the cool stuff from the video up until now :(

Updated myself as I could, I assume most from this picture has been already decoded? (like the binary strip).

011011BN

The first one actually ends in BP, and there appear to be a third one, smaller slightly above and to the right of the BN one, "seemingly" ending in Bsomething, but it's heavily corrupted through scale and jpg compression.

So this number shows up in the image, and I think it's the serial number of the mud we saw in the chamber. Someone said the O in the center looks like a Q but remember that the chest of a mud sticks out cause of how skinny they are so it's probably a shadow.

Edit; I've been trying to work out the Binary line again and I got the word rise out of it and a few letter but they do and don't seem to say anything, here's what I could dig out (most is probably wrong so bear with) "nceRellrise.Sped:42ˆ".
