Cruel and Crass
Hey guys, I just wanted to show everyone my new piece of fan art. It's a fairly simple sketch of a Glukkon called 'Cruel and Crass', based on the infamous piece of artwork 'Bold and Brash' by the world-renowned artist who is Squidward Tentacles. Let me know what you think!

The concept of it is cool, but MS Paint line art isn't cool.

Yes this speaks to me on such a deep level

I'm tempted by redoing this piece of art with watercolors.

Dear lord. I was wondering how long it would be before somebody did this!
I think I prefer this version, as well. It represents the Glukkon's inner struggle, with the murder of all those innocent Mudokons weighing heavily upon his conscience. It leaves him a shell of his former self, yet still he strives to forget the mistakes of the past. Or something like that. |
You should've started with this, taken the initiative.

New forum game: everyone make their own version of Bold and Brash.

That's two mistakes.

All I can see is the empty, lifeless soul.
So, a normal glukkon. |

It's....perfect.
It's all here! The emotion, the unspoken suffering of the heart.... You can see the self-hatred in his eyes, and the cigar that symbolizes his self destructive means of dealing with his past. He wears a sharp suit, supported by small, false feet, and he is without arms, which symbolizes his helplessness for the life he just can't get a grip of despite his apparent professionalism! He is a glukkon, but his face resembles a mudokon, which symbolizes how in reality we are all the same on the inside, but on the outside, we wear these suits and we put on these masks to disguise ourselves and appear ready for another day of work. All the while, we are fighting invisible battles that no one else can see! Sometimes, even waking up is an act of bravery in this world... This world, this world of scrab cakes and slavery. |
