Possible Soulstorm announcement time
 

They said they would reveal new info in a few months, and next month is an event which would be prime time for them to do so: The Game Awards. I feel the Awards will shows us more info, as they previously revealed Psychonauts 2 among other games, such as Telltale's Batman and The Walking Dead: Michonne. If there's any place to surprise us with footage, it would be here.

I don't think that OWI has a high enough profile to announce there.

Perhaps we might hear something from the Playstation Experience in early December? If I remember right, there was a quote from Lorne saying the release needs to be in 2017, so we could be due for a reveal/announcement any time.

I do, actually. They aren't AAA anymore, but still one of the "bigger indies", and with quite a history, and an existing fanbase.

Actually, that's the exact opposite of where to surprise us. It's a gaming event.
Now, a poster in a urinal? That's surprising.

I like the idea that poster is actually in the urinal itself, not just the restroom. That genuinely would surprise me.

I think they should go one step further and manufacture oddworld-themed urinals.

Even if fans don't like it, OWI could just take the piss.

OWI is not in the habit of announcing stuff 6+ months in advance these days. I doubt we'll see any real info on SoulStorm until well into 2017.

While I agree that there seems to be a concerted effort to wait and reveal details closer to release, Soulstorm was announced ages ago and we've already had the ARG Abe reveal. The ARG was suspected of leading to some more info, though I guess the course was altered there mid way through.

We also don't know if/when in 2017 it might release! Its an absolute long shot (as in, I seriously doubt it), but lets speculate they're further into production that we think. Any reveal soon could be within a <6month release window for all we know.

I'm expecting The ARG to tease something whilst we wait for actual info during 2017. If I'm wrong and we hear something soon, that'll be amazing.

haha, I think Oddworld is a bit more popular than you guys give it credit for. A reveal at the Game Awards or Playstation Experience could do a lot to help publicity. Look at how big Hello Games became with No Man's Sky being shown at VGX 2013 (for better or worse).

The most important thing though is that Soulstorm is shown when it's actually ready to be shown.

Oddworld has the potential to make headlines. It's well enough established within the gaming community, Especially in the PlayStation scene. So yeah, I could see them pulling it off.

It's not that hard to get publicity when you just lie about 90% of your game, though.

Did I dream or did OWI say they still wanted to show us something before the end of the year?
