i was just wonderin why you all picked the name that you have. i chose oddworld master because i like to think of myself as the master of oddworld. (i'm not the master thats for sure) what about you? where did your names come from?


and this has nothing to do with this topic but i'm an ignoriant bi*** and i need to know. how do i put my panner on my posts?

Well at school my friends call me Abe and I was going to use Abe but It was taken so I just used my email Abe22.

Silversnow was a name I got up with long before I knew that Oddworld existed. I chose silversnow because it sounded better than well anything I could get up with.

Rettick was the name of the character who was meant to be the main character in Undercover Operations [a fic of mine]. As it turned out, the characters list for that fic multiplied and multiplied, until there wasn't really a main character any more, which is one of the reasons why I now try to get the other forumers to call me Dan [IE my name]...

My name Surfacing comes from the song "Surfacing" by 1 of my fav bands Slipknot u should listen to it awesome song, u'd love it.

Strangely enough, I was going to post a 'What does your username mean?' topic! That's the second time that someone's posted a topic that I was thinking of doing.

My name comes from the opening lyrics to the Space Raiders song Middlesboogie (U Gimme Hot Love).

Well, it's quite simple, actually: my favorite creatures are dragons and my favorite color (besides light blue) is black. Black Dragon was my main Oddworld characer for a bit, even though I now know that it was totally stupid. Eventually, I changed the character into "Unopa Nightfire" because "Black Dragon" is too un-personalized. On most of the other online places I vist, I am typically called by the name Unopa Nightfire, however on the forums I have always been "Blackie" and "BD", so I prefer if my buddies on these forums use my old name. :)

Well I was just getting done with surfing the net at Oddworld.com and I was trying to figure out how to get into forums well I went here and signed up and wasn't even thinking actually becomeing a member so I was suprised when I became a member. I just came up with a name that I could not be used. It was originally suposed to be paramiteDave but I had to change it to Abe. Then after that I said to myself forget it I won't be abel to get in so I just left. Two days later I get an e-mail welcoming into the forums. I was very surprised I got in here. so here I am.

Mainly because i like interns..i think they're one of the coolest things on oddword..and i dunno, 'Disgruntled Intern' just sounded good to me.

Paramites were my favourite species by the time I signed up.... tought they were cool. (And I still think that, but now, sligs are my favourite!)

Well my name has nothing to do with Oddworld. My dog's name is Häämörin Fazerina and my nick comes from her name. I use it in every forum and chat and so on..

I chose my name because I like sligs, and it fits with the plot for my RPG

Well, about two years ago, I had to dress up as something for Halloween, so I dressed up as the grim reaper. The next year, I dressed up as a variation of the grim reaper. I also made a halloween game, in which I had to make up some main characters. I made up one that looked kind of like my halloween costume, and called him Dark Hood. Since then I made him into my alter ego, since he was really me with a few extra powers.

I decided to use the name "SeaRex" becuase I heard it was cut from MO. :mad: After a while, I got over it, but I still wanna see some Sea Rexes in ME.

We were having a war on another board I visit, and as all unassigned/uncoloured names are a kind of boring teal-blue colour, I was Lt. Teal-coloured-person, which got shortened to Lt Teal, then to just Teal. (I should have picked Keaalu, as I like that name better, but I already had this name and didn't want to bother changing. Besides, I like my name. Kind of comforting. *shrugs*)

I just used my real name because when I discovered the forums I had just started AO and was stuck in one of the very first secret areas in Rupture Farms. I had a very good walkthrough that wasn't helping, and had horrible visions of not being able to play this wonderful game I had discovered by ridiculous accident. I just wanted to set up an account as quickly as possible and see if some could help me. It didn't seem to be a problem, especially after I saw some posts by people with "regular" names, like Daniel Brown.

I came up with it in fourth grade when I had some free time in class. (There used to be an E at the end for energenic, but now that only applies when I'm high on soda.)I didn't know what name to use when I sighned up at the forums but then I remembred the Capri thing and decided to use that. (I found the paper I wrote it on in some of our old moving boxes when I was looking for somthing in the garage)

Well my name is supposed to mean that I was an Escapee without the help of Abe.101th Mudokon from Repture Farms. Abe was 100 because when you start after you escape there is 99 Mudokons.....................I now it might sound stupid but.......mmmmrmmere

i picked munchman because, munch rules and i could not think of nothing else, i want to change it to Michael Myers, but they will not let me :(

Alright, it's past obvious by now that I'm an Apollo440 fan.
Right, their guitarrist, Norman Fisher-Jones, otherwise known as Noko, had a homepage on www.noko440.com which recently sadly vanished so I can't prove my point.
The site is a simple thing, really:

The title "noko440.com" was on a green/blue GHOYOS (third album, if it doesn't tell you anything, it's not that important) pixelated background, and written in gothic-styled, pink/magenta lettes.
Below was a photo of a monkey on a table.
Below THAT was the quote "Without art, we are but monkey's with car keys".
Then a link to a gallery (empty besides a photo of a stained-glass pentagram Noko sports in his apartment) and a link to the @440 homepage recently taken over by Sony.

When I right-clicked the title and saved it, the file was called pinkgoth.gif . Later it warped to pinkgothic440.gif (which caused much confusion for me), but that's aside the point. The first time I found it, I found the name so amusing that I from then on called Noko PinkGoth, or PinkGoth1.

I've been repeatedly told I act like Noko. That and the fact I admire his creativity made me pick the name "PinkGoth2".
In IRC, it's a fabulous thing.
Every two months or so I'll nickchange to PinkGoth1 and type /me has a personality dislocation

My username MunchOnThis came from the official Munch's Oddysee website. I originally wanted to call myself something else(NOT call my user-name something-else) but *bah* it was taken!!! *sighs* So that's my story.....I'm off now Tralalala!!! *walks*
