Odds N' Ends, Now With Pixel Bits!

So I'm sure some of you may remember Kip's Oddysee, my fan game that has had and will continue to have many, many delays. Well it's still being made - now as Kip's Awakening, to remove the association to previous games for my own legal sake - I'm just wanting to make sure you guys get something of decent quality and substance to play than some half hour demo then months of no progress, so bear with me.

Anyway, here's some art I recently made which will be included in the game, I plan on making more posts here as and when so expect more cool stuff!

The March Of The Sentinel
:

"If a threat persists, the giant sentinel can be brought to life with the chimes and drums as its heartbeat. however far the music carries, the sentinel can bring its strength to bear."

Dammit, OWI strikes at fan-game creators :(

JayDee 09-15-2016 11:26 AM

I've been in contact with Lorne and recently the OWI Team about it. There's certain stuff I can and can't do due them owning the rights to certains characters, music, and gameplay concepts, and I couldn't fully "release" it without their legal consent. But the majority of all characters, locations, music etc. is original and they're also wanting to play it too, so who knows.

Are you going to release it commercially?

Badass! I always wished we had gotten to see a sentienel in action in-game.

That was never my intent, though given Nintendo's actions on Pokemon Uranium I can somewhat understand a company's desire to protect their IPs.

The majority of the game's third act revolves around the Song Engine and it's Sentinel.
