As I'm sure a lot of you know, the "PS4 Pro" was officially announced yesterday, and the guys over at OWI have an article up about how they're approaching Soulstorm with regards to the "PS4 Pro". I think it was already quite obvious from comments from Lanning that they were interested in making Soulstorm pro-friendly, but looks like they're officially confirming it here.

It makes sense for them to do it if that's where the hardware is going, and I'm all for a slightly jazzier version for Pro users, just as long as long as the regular PS4 version doesn't suffer as a result. I'm sure over time a lot of companies are going to be focusing on the Pro version of their games, and leaving the standard one to pale in comparison.

But, before this turns into a hardware debate, I think the guys at OWI are smart enough to make sure they put out a quality game on all hardware (they're a company that is most definitely for the fans), so I'm not that worried at all.

Once I get a new car sorted I'm debating getting a PS4 Pro, I think if OWI releases Soulstorm for it that'll seal the deal for me.

According to this article, it will be nothing more than an enhanced version of SoulStorm (like NnT on PS4 and Xbox One).

NnT on PS4 is the default version. Nothing enhanced about it.

Yes, but I mean compared to NnT on PS3 or Xbox 360.

Well, from what I heard the PC version of NnT is still the superior one in terms of graphics.

I guess they will do for Soulstorm the same they did for NnT, try to be on as many platforms as possible and polish each version as much as possible.

So it would make complete sense that Soulstorm would probably be on PS4 Pro and that it would kick some major ass on it graphics wise.

as someone who has a basic PS4 and has no reason as of yet to buy a Pro as long as i can still get the game on at least PC i have no real issue with them making it just for the pro over the old models

Someone please enlighten me as to the difference between the original and Pro? I haven't had a console in years but I was thinking about getting a PS4.

The difference is that some games will be capable of being in 4K, run at higher fps and other "better" things. Of course you'll need a 4K TV to see it in 4K :fuzwink:, but if you have a HD TV you'll see changes too comparing it to the normal PS4, this is a quote from the Playstation official page:

I've been thinking in getting a PS4 too, I'll wait for christmas or black friday to see offers, I might end getting the slim version, but if for "only" 100€ more you can get the Pro which has improvements with some games.. I don't know what I'll do xD.

It's the New 3DS of the PS4. Basically, a version of the same console that's a lil bit stronger.
