YouTubing!
So, I'm in the process of putting a YouTube channel together and wondered what you guys would find interesting to watch?
I'm wanting to discuss games/films and probably drugs. But is there anything else I can include? Do you guys watch YT videos regular? What attracts you to them? Why? Have any of you done YT videos before? Any advice on getting subscribers? Thanks, guys! |
Do drugs and play games

I did a YouTube video once. It was okay.

I've been YouTubing on and off since 2012. Got a pretty good channel with a thousand some subs, though I should really do some more with it. Most successful videos are EVE Online but I kinda want to deviate away from that and focus on some other stuff as well.

Don't make a channel based on what other people want. You'll never stick with it if that's your motivation. Make the channel based on what interests you, and then it'll stay around. It probably won't get much of a following, given that only a tiny percentage of YouTube users achieve that, but at least it'd still exist.

Havoc, what's your channel?
I think the main thing of it will be gaming and films. Like, maybe some reviews. Some discussions. I've got some videos I'm doing atm about my time in Amsterdam on Shrooms, and I have vague ideas of doing a series on drugs (the effects etc, and doing some...but that's purely so I have an excuse for my own degeneracy). Havoc, do you promote yourself in any way? Or just upload and leave it? |
Link of my channel is in my signature :)
I'm active on my channel on and off. Sometimes I do a series where a new part comes out every day and then I can be completely inactive for weeks at a time. I promote my stuff on Twitter, Facebook and Steam mostly. Just posting a notice that a new video is out for the people following me. |
I think you should do a review channel

I think you should review your own channel

Speaking of YouTube - how the Hell do you put videos IN your video? Like, say I wanted to show a clip of something?!
|
Via video editing software like vegas/edius/moviemaker(that last one was a joke). Then you just add annotation links to them via youtube if it's a clickable link as well
|
I've always loved cryptic shit like allan tutorials and meatsleep. But those videos take a lot of planning and editing skill.

Make a channel focused around the Obama gun sweeps.
I'm kidding, of course. |
