Hello everybody!

First I need to vent some excitement off my chest.

I just made this account, but I've been here before. I've last frequented this site when I was 10-15 years old. What a blast to the past! To find the Oddworld forums just the way I remember them, and see my old account still here. Even after reading all my (somewhat cringeworthy) teenage-time PM messages, this is all so comforting in its nostalgia.

And now, after finding out about the ARG as well, my OW fandom has risen again.
Which prompted me to try and make some fanart! It's been 10 years since I drew these guys. Which one should I draw next?

I suddenly got commissions somewhere else, so I haven't been able to tackle the glukkon or Shrykull yet. But I started this one a week ago and finished it.

How does the reputation work on this forum?
Yesssss I'm glad you said that since it was those exact three words I was thinking when I drew it.

I'm still figuring it out myself, but I think you gain rep power over time, which allows you to give more positive or negative points to a post. I guess there are restrictions against how often you can give points to a particular user to prevent people from making alternate accounts and giving themselves extra rep.

That post isn't up to date, Nate fiddled it due to runaway inflation, however the formula is pretty much the same.

concerning reputation: i think this is up to date, i'm not sure though.

anyway i love the fuzzles. that poor Stunk.

Huh, I wonder why I've got 0 rep if joining is supposed to give me one. And what do the tiny abe heads mean? And where do people see the rep points, if 1500 gives you one rep power? So many questions...

EDIT: The reference shrykulls I looked at had some really weird things going on in the knees.. and other areas. So.. don't ask..

i think you only get rep power once you've made at least 50 posts or something like that, i can't remember the exact number.

the mudokon heads increase as your rep power increases. so the more rep you have, the more mudokon heads you will have. the maximum is 11 mudokon heads but there is no limit to your actual rep power.

if you hover your cursor over the mudokon heads your rep level and your amount of rep points will be displayed (unless you're using vBulletin 3, Munch's Oddysee or HoneyBee themes, in which case you can only see your rep level but not the amount of points). you can do this with other members too. you can also view the rep comments you have recieved and how many rep points you have by viewing your User CP.

also for future reference: if someone has 0 rep power and they posrep/negrep you, you will not gain/lose any points due to their rep power being 0. the rep in question will be displayed on your User CP (along with all the other rep you have recieved) as a blue mudokon head. that's called neutral reputation.

also also if you posrep someone, your rep power will be added as points to their reputation. if you negrep someone, only half of your rep power will be deducted as points from their reputation.
