New n Tasty getting limited physical release (PS4/Vita)
All o' ya! Just a head's up for those who haven't seen, Oddworld Inhabitants have partnered with Limited Run Games to produce a (very) limited edition physical release of New n Tasty!
The game is coming soon via the Limited Run website, and will be released for PS4 and Vita. The PS4 version also comes pre-patched and with Alf's Escape on disc. Sounds pretty good! No word yet on pricing as far as I can tell :) http://www.oddworld.com/2016/03/oddw...ical-editions/ https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cexv3utXEAE6xBI.jpg |
Damn. Can't they do a PC physical release too :c
|
I'd love to get a special edition Soulstorm a la F:NV.

"All the rage"... From the fans?
|
Yes clam, believe it or not NnT has been a hit for most Oddworld fans. Also, it's marketing speek. What do you expect?
Edit: just got your joke. Apologies. |
I'm still raging over it.
But if someone wants to buy a physical copy of it, it's their business. They removed the awful logo so there's nothing really bad about the cover art now |
Pretty neat. Kind of tempted to buy it just to have an actual case for the game, but I dunno. Cool regardless!

Compare it to this, which one communicates the tone of the game better? http://www.gamemuseum.es/wp-content/...ysee_Cover.jpg Aw shit, not again. |

It doesn't look that bad irl, I just couldn't find a good scan.
|
HUH?!
A new release for my VITA?! <(O___O)> |

I agree with Varrok. The cover art of N'n'T does a good job of communicating the game's tone.

|
Got them! hurry up guys! there's also a second chance! the second inventary will be online at 6 PM (EST).
|
Christ I just bit the bullet and bought one even though my bank account told me not to. 45 dollars / 32 pounds when shipping is added in. Quite a hit. I don't even like the game that much.
I think this is when being a fan is a problem. I didn't have a problem getting it though, and I only just placed my order. |

Yeah, Connell, I don't think buying stuff you don't like is the best course of action :/
|
I collect video games, though. And Oddworld is my favourite franchise. I am fully aware of the lunacy of my actions, but I justify it by the fact I collect and I love Oddworld, so this is an addition I wanted.
It's not that I don't like it completely. I just don't like it that much, as in I won't be in a rush to play it again when this arrives for a while. *waits for someone to find a quote of me slagging off N'n'T from years ago* |

I guess knowing is the first step... Right?
|
I'll get help one day.
|
The term in english is "cash cow" (but I may be wrong).

Well, you will buy anything related to Oddworld (even products you dislike)...
Crashpunk is at least happy about everything. |
Regardless of whether that's true, that's not what a cash cow is. It refers to the product itself, not the consumer. A cash cow is a product that continuously generates revenue far in excess of the amount required to start the venture. I wouldn't call New'n'Tasty a cash cow in any sense of the phrase, nor would I call myself one, because it doesn't make sense.
I bought a game from a company I like. That's about it really. |
Yes, I mean: "to be play for a sucker" (no offense).
|
Why you dragging me into this Vlam?
We just bought a video game which has a very limited physical release. And for someone who prefers physical over digital, This is an exciting thing. The fuck is the problem? |
