Who'd be down for a public Discord for OWF?
Title is the question.
I'm curious - It's a chat I've used in the past, but its gotten a lot better, and has clearly recognized its target audience. It's pretty cool now. Would anyone be interested in using it for a public chat? Edit: Discord is essentially a combination of Skype and Teamspeak. Edit 2: Alright I got something running, and it's all pretty. If any moderators on the forums want the moderation powers on the Discord, feel free to ask. Feel free to join!https://discord.gg/0v3uToG41DasoiWi |
What are you talking about?
Edit: ah, okay. |
Would be more successful than OddChat at least, only problem is I rarely ever start Discord myself unless playing games in a group (since Skype manages to kill my connection if I call).
If you make one I'd join and try to be somewhat active. |
Let's chat here: what happened to Varrok? I don't see him.
I'm dead meat
The point is, it's better suited to 'chatting' that a forum is, and Discord doesn't suck like Skype does.
I'm banning you from this thread, OddMan.
Can someone explain why this would be any better than Oddchat?
Because you can upload icons!
And read through chat history. |
im on discord way too much, so why not
I started using it for DND recently. It's kinda dope.
Oddchat is good for talking to myself.

Alright. I've just joined. It's actually a really cool service and have no idea why I thought it was just voice communcation. Something like Mumble or Skype for example.
Anyway. I'll be on whenever I can. :) |
It does feature voice chat, if anybody wants to use it. I don't think any of us do
Even Lanning is with us on Discord!
Sure. I'll do it.
