So Apparently New 'n' Tasty is coming to mobile this autumn.. Was this always known or is this new news?

Wait, didn't it have perfomance issues on VITA? And they want to port it on even slower hardware?

The studio that is doing the mobile ports for OWI is pretty experienced in doing what they do. So if they think it can be done, it can probably be done.

Like in VITA version?

Yeah they mentioned it a year or so ago that it would eventually come out on mobile.

I seriously cannot understand how people play actual games on smart phones unless it's purely a touch screen based game. Those virtual controls are just the worst.

Especially for a game which requires a lot of quick button pressing. I think i will skip out on this too.

I'd rather play AO on my phone rather then Nnt and what the point of playing a game on your phone when it will drain the battery before you really do anything

I'm down for this. Any way I can support Oddworld is good for me.

I own every Oddworld game they put out on Android. I buy them to support OWI, not realy to play with it :p

I'll buy it if it's good. I skipped out on SW for mobile because I heard bad things about the port.

I do kinda wonder why they haven't ported the original AO and AE onto mobile, though, I think those would be good games to have on the go. Though I can understand if the code is just too archaic to work with.

They couldn't even get the code running enough to add more functionality like achievements on Steam. Porting would be completely unworkable.

I think the newest generation of Smartphones are at least on par with the VITA, if not faster.

I think rather than porting New N Tasty to phones, what they should make is a spin-off Elum endless runner type of game. You can't control New N Tasty properly on a touchscreen anyway.

Sure but you that would limit your audience spectrum because not a lot of people carry these around all the time. That's why I brought up the idea of an endless runner, they are easy to play without a controller and with some in-app purchases OWI can earn some money from it.

An endless runner would be a much inferior game for everybody, instead of NnT being... well... not as bad of a game as endless runner for some

I was about to say that would be awful, but given their talent for social commentary, they could probably pull off something both mindlessly entertaining and bitingly satirical. Like the game insults you every time you make a microtransaction.

I'd lose respect for OWI if they pulled that shit
