In high school, I asked a Muslim girl, whom I had been friends with since kindergarten, for her number. Not in a flirty kind of way at all; it was a very platonic and friend-y request. She said no. I wonder if I overstepped my boundaries.

I'm mostly waiting for Nate to pop in and either split the other thread off into a new thread to isolate the religious... debate... or just tell everyone to get back on topic before continuing on the topic of the elections since I'm very interested in them this year.
