Nintendo Life's Alex Interviews Lorne Lanning

Another great interview with Lorne

Vlam 02-13-2016 01:57 AM

Is there something new to learn?

FrustratedAssassin 02-13-2016 03:41 AM

They're launching into the production of TzF, which is nice but expected, and he said he'd like to make an Abe Amiibo, but he's not confirming that officially because he doesn't want to make fans a promise he can't keep and get crucified for it. I'm totally buying the Abe Amiibo if it comes out though.

The entire interview is super interesting but not incredibly exciting or relevant.

I only posted it because.

1. It's a new Lorne interview.

and 2. It was by Nintendo life. Which I never thought I'd see. Still quite strange having Oddworld on a Nintendo console for the first time. it's pretty fricking cool. :)

Not the first time, let's not forget: Oddworld Adventures 1 and 2 on GB and MO on GBA.

Alf Shall Rise 02-13-2016 12:32 PM

Well, it's still be the first time an Oddworld game is still a non-handheld Nintendo console.

Crashpunk 02-13-2016 01:00 PM

I meant a Nintendo Home Console, Not handheld. Should of been more specific. :)

Vlam 02-13-2016 01:56 PM

Well, what about the super game boy and the game boy player?

Crashpunk 02-13-2016 02:30 PM

Vlam I swear to god.

Varrok 02-13-2016 11:13 PM

There were no Oddworld games designed specifically for Super Game Boy or Game Boy Player

Vlam 02-14-2016 02:19 AM

I was talking to Alf Shall Rise. You can play these games on non-handled Nintendo console: Super Nintendo and Gamecube.

Crashpunk 02-14-2016 05:50 AM

That technically doesn't make it a console game. It's not a port, it's not a re-release. It's just playing a handheld game on the big screen.

That's like playing a PS1 game on an emulator and calling it a PC game.

Vlam 02-14-2016 06:35 AM

Yes, I agree, but technically, you can play it on your home console.

That wasn't his point obviously.

Scrabaniac 02-14-2016 12:56 PM

Lorne said 'Yeah we won't talk about those..' It was just licensing. he never took part in the production of the GBA games i think.

By the way, is Alf's escape available on PS3?

Crashpunk 02-19-2016 05:24 AM

No. It's only on PS4, Xbone and Steam at the minute.
