Oddworld Twice Ze Flavor level editor?
 

Well with Oddworld Twice Ze Flavor announced all we know is it is in the planning stages. But how bout something different... A level editor! If you pre-order the game you will get access to a level editor! You can edit your layouts, spawns, and etc. It might be a lot of work, but it might be a good idea!
Think about it, Nintendo made a "Mario maker". So why not a Oddworld maker.
Tell me your ideas below.

Level editor has already been suggested countless times. It would be amazing and would be a no brainier to utilities the Steam Workshop in the same way Portal 2 does. If it ever becomes a thing, I think both NnT and Exoddus should use them.

I think it's safe to say if a level editor is going to be in Exoddus, It will be free and for everyone.

I don't see why they would restrict something so widely suggested. I can only imagine the outrage of selling the level editor.

Meh, I can see the reasoning behind it honestly. Building a user friendly way to design entire levels is time consuming work to say the least. Then again, they do have the engine ready now. Either way I wouldn't mind paying for it, but yeah it would probably cause a shit storm.

Are we talking like a Little big planet level editor or like steam workshop level.

Cuz this is gonna be a console game, and I wouldnt mind creating some tougher speedrunning levels in exxodus if I could.


Custom levels with custom leaderboards would be real cool. But again, that takes alot of time. If its too much work id be happy they just take the time to make the game as good as possible. Thisll be my first time ever touching exxodus.

I can imagine it being a PC only thing.

Also I do realize this thread could be misleading, so i will say.

Level editor in Abe's Exoddus has NOT been announced. This is purely a speculation thread.

Early in NnT's development they made a blog on the website about why they chose not to make one for Nnt.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that we should be able to just directly purchase the level editor and that the actual game nonsense should be the preorder bonus.

I vaguely remember that but what was the reason again? Too much work, too little time?

Im of the opinion that the game itself should be the pre-order incentive. That 'Day One Guarantee'.

However I can understand it. Pre-orders are a way of ensuring sales and lots of pre-orders means early profit. A game that can make back its cost on the first day, and pre-order incentives help that.
