My Slightly "Late" Birthday Present

Best birthday ever!

Job McYossie 03-23-2015 05:54 PM

OOOH I GET IT NOW. I left the page and was thinking about it and then got it and had to backup a few pages. Gratz!

JayDee 03-23-2015 06:07 PM

I had this sent to me (and wake me up at 2am) personally and I expected to see it here, but congrats - I wish you both the best, and this news is the best kind of news.

Now sleep.

OANST 03-23-2015 06:19 PM

Thanks! I was supposed to wait until after the wedding, but I'm not very good at waiting....

JayDee 03-23-2015 06:51 PM

24th of March, less of a late birthday present and more of a soon to be Christmas present!

I think 'soon' is a bit of a stretch.

To Oanst itll probably feel like forever.

OANST 03-23-2015 07:15 PM

Still the 23rd in Americaland!

Bullet Magnet 03-23-2015 07:39 PM

Just to make sure that I'm reading the room correctly, we are all go on this one then?

OANST 03-23-2015 07:56 PM

We are a go. For sure. We've been together longer than six months and have been planning to have a baby. We just plain weren't ready for that kind of commitment with each other the first time around.

Varrok 03-23-2015 08:42 PM

I don't get it. Does it say "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant"? There is a slight vertical line, is that enough to say for sure?

OANST 03-23-2015 09:09 PM

If it was negative there wouldn't be a horizontal line at all.

Varrok 03-23-2015 09:22 PM

damn it's early today

Congratulations of getting pregnant, OANST!

Bullet Magnet 03-24-2015 12:34 AM

All righty then, congratulations! I fully expect a naming poll to show up on here in a few months, with binding results, of course.

Crashpunk 03-24-2015 12:59 AM

Holy crap congratulations! :)

Holy Sock 03-24-2015 02:01 AM

Congrats, man! :)

Maybe Lorne can be the godfather, eh? ;)

JayDee 03-24-2015 02:33 AM

If it is born on my Birthday then I expect it to be named after myself, or atleast a middle name.

No matter the gender.

Sheesh, way to ruin an unborn child's life.

Get Tim Schafer.

OANST 03-24-2015 05:38 AM

We have to start narrowing down baby names! Man, this is going to be hard. We looked at 100's yesterday, and hated almost all of them.

STM 03-24-2015 05:42 AM

Oh my word congrats mate!!! You must be hella excited to have an OANST Jr. on the way, I didn't realise you were actually trying to be honest, I thought the comic edition about pregnancy was a joke. Man, good luck, I hope everything goes to plan. :D

OANST 03-24-2015 05:49 AM

If I had gotten her pregnant a couple months ago, when that comic came out, she probably would have killed me. Even three months from the wedding is stretching it, but it's close enough that she won't be showing too much, and we're both really happy!

Varrok 03-24-2015 08:03 AM

Name your new child "Road". Your children will make a nice Beatles reference.

Don't even know if "Road" can be used as a name.

Bullet Magnet 03-24-2015 09:49 AM

We'll get to the bottom of this naming thing. I found an Orc name generator. If that doesn't help, I don't know what will.

Varrok 03-24-2015 09:53 AM

BM is now my best friend.

MeechMunchie 03-24-2015 10:55 AM

Congratulations! The quotation marks implied something had died.

If it's a boy, Magnus, Raymond, Odin, Heinrich (like "loch"), Isiah or Ishmael. If it's a girl, Alice.

I actually really like the name April, but, er... yeah.

Varrok 03-24-2015 11:02 AM

I don't think you can have a name like Isiah or Ishmael in a country like USA and not be bullied at school.

EDIT: Inb4 "Scholastical Abuse" spin-off series.

Bullet Magnet 03-24-2015 04:24 PM

Lyra, Morticia, Miranda, Horus, Martellus, Garth.

No, shit, those names are good, I claim them back for my spawn in potentia.

Implying that both of your offspring cannot share names?

All righty then, congratulations! I fully expect a naming poll to show up on here in a few months, with binding results, of course.

This happened when one of my high school teachers had a son. We came up with 'Cecil B. De Quincy Cogo' ('Cogo' being the surname) but the parents went with 'Jem'. Poor child.

Take into account OANST's surname, all. I recommend 'Big Ben'. What? I literally thought about it for 20 seconds before typing that out.

Seperately, I saw something on Buzzfeed today about a family that were told from the ultrasound that they were going to have a girl, so they chose the name 'Charlee'. Then it turned out to be a boy. For some reason they didn't go with 'Charlie', but switched around to 'Bentley'. I suspect that reason was because they were dirty hipsters.

OANST 03-25-2015 06:00 AM

Goddamn hipsters. In related news, how do we feel about the name "Beard"?

Xavier 03-25-2015 06:07 AM

Awesome, go for it!

Anyway congratulations on the succesful mating Math ;)
