Okay, let's be truthful. Who's gonna pirate it?
Whether it's for testing purposes or you're just that much of an asshole, who wants to confess?
I already paid for it so it doesn't really matter, but if a version of the PC game leaked early.... i might, it would be very tempting
Already pre-ordered, and even though I expect myself to complain alot about some things, (I consider that a sure thing, I am really nostalgia-driven), I don't regret the money spent, and I am glad I can support OWI/JAW.
I've already pirated it 25 times. On PC.
EDIT: 26. Also, I'm probably gonna buy it, unless the PC port is very bad. |
I doubt anyone on OWF is gonna pirate it to be honest. People either want to support the company or aren't interested enough to care about the series anyway.
I'm with all the above. People who use the forums aren't likely to pirate it because they want to support the company to continue the series. I already paid it for it. Since there is no disk version, i don't think there will be early torrents about the game anyway, they will show up after the game comes out on steam. But I hope there's a predownload on steam for the game!
I assume by this thread, You've pirated the game MeechCrunchies?
And to answer. No. I won't pirate the game. And I doubt anyone here would either. Especially since it's made by a small indie studio. |
Nah. Not going to pirate.
I'm an unemployed music student and I managed to poop out enough pennies to buy it.

I think pirating games is a great method of "try-before-buying". |
Nope, preordered.

CP wants big companies starve to death
No not at all. It's just pirating games from Indie studios does a hell of a lot more damage.
Pirating games does no damage. Not buying games does damage.
^^^^
But... surely pirating a game and not buying it does do some damage? I know Someone HAD to buy it at some point. But your still losing sales?
I'm I not seeing this right? |
Some argue that those people wouldn't have bought the game legitimately anyway.

Nowadays companies release bad games, barely in an alpha state (Assassin's Creed Unity is a prime example, even now with all the patches it might be worth calling it a beta) and expect us to buy them before they are even released without even giving us a demo to try if it's worth our hard earned money. I preordered ACU and regretted it. I trust JAW has learned from the Oddboxx and that it is worth the preorder in this case. They wouldn't release NNT if they weren't convinced it is ready to be released. But a company can only fool us so many times before I start pirating their games before i buy them, to see if they are worth the purchase. With all the shit big publishers have pulled in the last few years, they should expect us to pirate and they should make us want to buy their games after that, not punish their customers with the excuse "you're gonna pirate it anyway". Better stop myself here, sorry for the rant. P.S. attaching proof that i did preorder the game |
:
Well... this is interesting
:
Wait what now? Can we play it?
:
He just wants to show it is easy to fake an image. In this case he probably renamed another game into NNT |
:
Nah. See, I'm working for a corporation which policy is hilariously akin to what the series actively mocks, so I'm going to spend that money with pleasure.
nates right guys now i have no reason to buy nnt thanx nate
:
My point was rather that AO is effectively the demo for NnT. They're not so different you and I that you need to pirate the game to 'Try Before You Buy'. |
The only reason I disagree nate is I used to pirate games before getting them just to make sure my computer could run them because I had a low end computer. Now I don't worry about that thought with my new system so I don't need to run it as a tech demo first and just buy the game.

Im a fan of the saying "Dont do to others what u wouldnt want done to yourself".
If i was making a game, I wouldnt want people stealing from me. |
