candystriper_gs_sedative (Munch's Oddysee)
i was looking through some game audio files for munch's cos bored came across this sound file named "candystriper_gs_sedative" and i don't remember any NPC in munches who uses this was this a NPC or vending machine that never made it into the game or was it dropped? the sound file plays "it's sedative time!" in a robotic voice.. thanks i would like to know. :D

ah another question as well instead of making a new topic and flooding ill just post it in here i just found screen shots from munches for Ps2 that got canned in these shots are areas not even in xbox or pc version Jw if the ps2 version was going to be different from the others

Those are just stills from the gameplay demo video from much earlier in MO's creation-period. They've circulated the internet for years.
I don't know about the sound though, that could be new... |

Those were never gameplay. They were gameplay concept videos. Pre-rendered to show what they wanted to achieve with the game, and endlessly misinterpreted. |
'Candy Striper' is an American slang term for a hospital volunteer. My guess is that it was either intended as a class of intern or used to refer to the Muds in Vykker's Labs.
EDIT: I just reread your description of the audio. It's been a while since I played MO; wasn't there a robot that Munch could control that shot out sedatives? Perhaps at one point they intended to have them as autonomous enemies. |
Close, it's actually a placeholder or early name for Snoozers, which makes the sedative part make sense. I don't know if they were ever going to have voices.
