Some Dream Thread
 

I was going to write a blog about how I've been suffering from insomnia lately and how I've been having quite unusual dreams as a result of this, (I even dusted off my old dream catcher) but instead I thought I'd contribute to the forums with a thread about dreams/nightmares, so let's get this night aprty started.

I might have mentioned this one in passing before, but here goes.

As a child, Abe's Exoddus was the first game I ever played, unfortunately due to my age I lacked the skill necessary to do more complex parts of the game. This resulted in me being stuck in Necrum for a couple years, as well as a childhood fear of Fleeches. And ofcourse, this lead childhood me to have reoccurring nightmares about Fleeches.

This worsened after asking my parents to let me go on the now old oddworld.com website and finding out that the Glukkons would flush their Fleeches. I was now in the belief that Fleeches would crawl out of the toilet to eat me at night. Thanks, Lorne. Luckily, childhood me came to the quite inspired conclusion that pouring some bath salts into the toilet at night would stop them from coming to me in the real world. The dreams however, they still happened.

As I grew slightly older (and discovered the path skip cheat) I made my way past the area in Necrum with the Fleeches and came upon the Mudanchee Vaults, possessing Scrabs and using them to tear Fleeches to shreds. This lead to one final dream where Scrabs came to my house and killed all the Fleeches. I remember them walking through my garden and myself telling my family to back against the wall because the Scrabs would kill us too if we got in the way. After that I had no more nightmares about them.

Such a nice coming of age story.

Please tell me this means that the high mighty end boss of Kip's oddysee is just going to be a single fleech.

I had a dream that a girl propositioned me for anal sex but her arse hole was mechanical and looked like the inside of a typewriter. You had to feed your foreskin through a pair of rollers or something.

So yeah...that was a thing that happened.

I get propositioned for anal sex every day by my girlfriend. She wants to perform it on me, though.

I am the most boring person on the planet. I very rarely remember my dreams and I've never had a proper nightmare (Where you wake up in a sweat ect).

it's odd because my mind is usually very active before sleep. Doesn't that make you dream?

Try lucid dreaming and *make* your dreams interesting. Then come back here.

How about fuck you. Been trying that shit for two years now with no success. That's like saying "just try playing an instrument" as if it's something you can just pick up and do.

You must be doing it wrong.

Also, you can play any instrument provided you have healthy limbs and time to practice. Try waking up after about 5 hours (alarm clock) after sleeping and then sleep again with a strong intention to have control over your dreams, the chance of LD will be much higher.

I hate my nightmares, either incredibly sexual, or a close friend dies. Thankfully never both.

I had a lucid nightmare once. I couldn't wake up, no matter how many times I tried, I just woke up in a different dream.

I'm not being funny or anything but anything that you can suggest I have probably already tried.

i dont remember my dreams. I go to bed. Lie awake for hours, and then theres a second of blackness and its morning...

I'm not joining in, it's wrong. I think it's just a fad.

All week I've been having nightmares about waking up late for work, and then waking up late for work...and then waking up LATER for work. Today I got my two weeks notice, Eeeerie.

I also had a nightmare where I was patient zero for the Canadian Ebola outbreak and got shot a whole bunch of times, however I also got super Ebola Speed and Super Ebola Endurance, making me indestructible until my body broke down from the inside.

I always wake up before I'm killed in my dreams, but I often have dreams in which I am already dead. Every version of the afterlife I dream about is a fresh and twisted nightmare.

Same for me, except the nightmare part. That sounds awesome! Like Silent Hill 3 or some shit.
