Oddchat Party Thread
 
Just a nifty thread I figure we can bump every time people plan to be in/are in Oddchat so we have a universal place to check if we want to utilize our LOVELY IRC. Just state what time you plan to be on and how long you'd expect to be on, and the timezone you're in since that makes everything easier on everyone. Yeah.

Me and Job are in it right now, but I'm heading off in literal minutes SO...

We peaked at seven.

Me, SB, Vy, Manco and Job, sometimes joined by Phylum and Wings, talked at length about why Bionicle is ultra gay (but great), threw another Bogleech Party, and heard about the time Job had something warm and salty squirted into her mouth.

There's also a frowny face on my foot, for reasons I can't quite remember.

With no post notifications, it's hard to catch people on there without constantly looking at the page. I'll start looking for better free chat alternatives and try to convince the powers that be to make the switch to a new chat client.

It's an IRC channel on SlashNET. If you want more functionality you can use any IRC client you like. I was the one who found the current client. I like it because it's easy to connect to (one click), and has the bonus of prompting you for a nickname before you join the channel. No more /nick Griffin silliness.

If you want to find a good web-based alternative that has some kind of non-invasive notification for messages then good luck, but as far as I recall this was the best option.

If the channel were moved to a larger network, such as freenode, we could probably get people in there that weren't from OWF (unless that wasn't wanted). Some of them might even end up here.

Having non-OWF people on the Facebook group was bad enough. Some of them even want to talk about Oddworld!
