Livestreaming!
Hey guys, I'll be livestreaming for a while starting in about 45 minutes (2PM GMT+2). Come find me at http://www.twitch.tv/tigerxtrm if you wanna check it out :)

I couldn't resist. Will watch a little.

Man, this game just looks fantastic.
But I think there may be just one minor design problem. It seems that a few people I've watched on twitch TV don't know they have to go down the Freight elevator in RuptureFarms and instead get stuck trying to go to Zulag 2 and open the door. Usually I'd mark them off as inattentive players, and I imagine most gamers won't have this problem, but it's getting oddly frustrating watching some people get stuck at that bit XD. And I think since it's so early in the game that small area could use another clear arrow like you guys included at the very beginning instructing players how to jump up ledges. I just remember that, in the original, players mostly went through the door equivalent and missed the fact that there was a whole section to the right of the screen. But here the sidescrolling seem to have had the opposite effect. |
I actually found a lone Mudokon at the entrance of Zulag 2. Not sure if he is technically part of the Mudokons that would otherwise die if you escape though.
|
He is. But what I'm saying is that I've seen some people think going to Zulag 2 is how you progress and completely miss the freight elevator altogether.
|
Yeah I can see how the elevator can be hard to miss. In fact I think I missed it the first time I saw it in a trailer.
|
I think that the hard setting is even more tougher than the original, and the bats are just as hard without 1 hit kills as you don't get much time to move between them in some areas
|
It helps IMMENSELY that you can now kill the bats with the bottlecaps, though. I was stuck in the area with the swinging rocks with only 2 birds health. I could not make it past the boulder back without the bat killing me. Luckily I found out right there that you can kill them, making life easier for everyone.

exactly the same here. And also the part in scrabania where you roll under the mines with the two sligs in the background. It is near IMPOSSIBLE. Im still stuck on it and im losing the will to live.
Edit: I just passed it, But only because i had chanted to scare the sligs, and the moving mine glitched out and didn't explode |

I will be continuing my livestream in about 25 minutes from now. Starting where I left off yesterday at the start of Scrabania.
|
I watched for a bit until you got around the point of where PS Nation's livestream ended toward the end of the Stockyards. It was nice to see you getting an audience. :)
|
Yeah it was fun. It peaked at over 120 watching on the first day and (sadly) about 25 on the second day. I also noticed that people tend to have the attention span of a grape. Because when I announce a 2 minute toilet break after playing 3 hours non stop, half the audience is gone when I get back.
It was a nice test drive in any case. I've been looking at livestreaming for a while now, but never had a reason to try it. When I saw the livestreaming option on the PS4 I figured this would be a nice first try. |
The best thing about your livestream was your commentary. Even better was that absolutely frustrating 10-20 minute continual redo of the meat grinders in the Paramonian secret area.
I was so angry at how many times it took, I wanted to throw a controller at a TV. Any controller. Any TV. I just needed to vent. And I wasn't even playing. Alcar... |
Seriously fuck those meat grinders in the Paramonia secret area. Anyone at JAW has any insight on why you guys decided to make it this hard?

Anyway I've uploaded the livestream footage from day 1 to Youtube :) |
Boom! Footage from day 2 is now on YouTube!
