Anyone buy a PS4 just for New 'n' Tasty?
 

I didn't want to wait a month before getting to play NnT so I went and bought a PS4 today in time for the 23rd :) Please tell me I'm not the only one....

I went to buy one today but my local shop was out of stock. They've only had one on the shelf for ages, so it was bound to go soon. Against all my better judgment, I intend to have one by the 23rd.

Downloaded already, now to wait for it to unlock.

Thought I might have been able to play it by disconnecting the net and manually changing the clock, no dice though :(

"Not gonna happen" describes it well for me. There just is not enough other things on PS4 I want.

Well I figure that I'll end up getting a PS4 one day so I may as well get it now. Without NnT I probably would have bought it in a few years time (or once MK10 came out.)

I didn't personally purchase it, but for some reason, my dad bought one out of the blue. But now that there's one in the house, I'm definitely buying NnT for it as soon as possible.

I expect it won't. Hopefully we will still have the R18+ rating by then. I'm pretty sure they'd tame it down if it was higher than an R18+ rating. It was just for MK9 they didn't want to make it so tame that it achieved an MA15+ rating, I think.

Are you on the Australian (Europe) store? Because I can't find NnT for pre-order. I thought it was only the American store that had it.

I made a US psn account specially for it. Can still play it on my main profile anyway.

I'm renting one from a neighboor because I can't justify buying a 400 euro console just for a single game.

If I get one this week I will wait as they are releasing the Last of Us remastered bundle on the 30th. But might be a bad idea to buy one now from a financial point of view for me personally. Either way, getting NnT on launch day :).

Yes I did and yes it was pricey (Got the InFamous Second Son Bundle, good game by the way :)) But I feel it will be worth it in the end. Not just for new n Tasty, But for all the other games which will eventually come out.

I am lucky enough to have had my brother's girlfriend buy him a ps4 :D and he's away until September in New York working for Goldman Sachs so I have it all to myself :D :D :D but I likely would have got one just for New 'n' Tasty anyway.

Ok so my ps4 arrived today, and the cunts on PSN are telling me that my card details are invalid, and that my card number is not real. What the fuck is going on?! Shit always happens when i really don't need it to happen! If this shitty service cannot sort it out soon i wont be happy

Is it perhaps something to do with switching regions?

It might be very well possible that you cannot use your card on a US account., Could explain why people buy the psn vouchers to buy their games when doing the whole region change thing.

No. Have my PS3. Will Pre-order. But waiting for that.

Turned out bank had a fraud watch on my card :S Sorted now.

I'm not going to buy a PS4 just for NnT, I already have a PS3 and an Xbox One.

I'm gonna have to wait, I guess. Can't justify the purchase of a PS4 since I have been out of work for a wee while.

Not too sure it will run well on my laptop, though. Ah, we'll see.

I've purchased my PS4 for University. I plan to use it for Netflix Streaming as well as gaming with my roommates. New n Tasty just gave me a reason to get it earlier than i wanted. The same amount of money would have come out of my bank account later on :)

Little tip: Change your DNS Settings to:
Primary: 8.8.8.8
Secondary: 8.8.4.4

You will then be on a Google Supported DNS, which makes downloads quicker. I waited 4 hours for a game to download 50% yesterday, and as soon as i changed it, it shot down to 20 mins remaining :)

That... doesn't make sense. The DNS check should only happen once at the start. It shouldn't be rechecking the DNS during the download at all.

I obviously stopped the download before changing the DNS settings.. The connection would cut off when you re-set up anyway. It definately worked for me without a doubt.

Google DNS is awesome for just about anything. Helped with GTA Online as well when everyone was having trouble.

By the way, what time did the game release for the US. Midnight? And can we expect it to release at midnight in Europe as well tonight?

Don't think so. The store updates in the afternoon I think.
